Lately, I've been trying to get my dreams into motion, including-but-not-limited-to:

* 4-page short manga. It's just for fun/practice. The story is just a short episode from working with Konomi-sensei. I'll post it online when I'm done. ^^
* Real manga for Ribon
* How-to-be-a-mangaka posts
* Website/blog! It may be small at first, but it's going to be really cool in the end, I think!!
* Japanese study (This takes up a lot of time!)

I was also in a commercial shoot recently.. more about that later on, as soon as it comes out! I'm not sure if it's going to be on tv or just on the internet or what. We'll see. It seems to be in processing right now. Well, I just did it to help out a friend, so it wasn't paid or anything, but it was definitely a learning experience! I'll talk about that all after it's out! (I'm not allowed to now)

I kinda want to make a Zombies-in-Tokyo mini movie or something..... anyone game? Just offhand, I'm thinking little commercial-like videos to put on Youtube, or something like that.. Whatcha think? Anyone want to work on this? (Actors/scriptwriters/cameramen/etc?) Let me know! Maybe a vampire story too......? Of course, this is all just an idea at this point..

So, starting after this week, I'm going to be launching my new blog/website and see where it goes!!

So, I would really like everyone's input who reads this..
What kinds of posts do you want to see from me?
Obviously they'll have as many pictures as possible, and obviously they'll be about Japan/Tokyo, but I want to write things that you guys want to read! =^^= Please tell me! Onegaishimasu!

In other news, there is just one day left to help me reach my tiny little dream! =^-^= Please, please, please help if you are so inclined! I'd really appreciate anything, and I've decided to send at least a little something to everyone, winner of the drawing or not! *^^*

Day to Day or Week to Week routines would be interesting. How you go about life.

Your favorite art supplies and why.

Artists you admired growing up and today.

Your childhood.

What you miss from the West.

If your opinion on manga/anime has changed over time.

Other artists you interact with, if any.

How you got to know other ex-pats and what they do.

Opinions on Japanese government or other modern current events.

Blogs you read/like.

How gaijin are viewed/treated.

I personally love shrines and cafes.

One critique: I know it's important to you, but posts obsessing on weight loss make me frowny-face. I'm sorry, just being honest. You're beautiful!

You have some great ideas!! A lot of them I hadn't even thought about!

I will put them into my list! Sorry about the diet ones.. I'll try to be careful about them. I might put them on a separate blog if I want to keep writing them :p

Good job!

Daily life.

How foreigners are treated by the Japanese society (especially Asian ones)

Art samples. Pets (if you have one). Food (I love to eat) you missed back home and Japanese food.

And what the one who posted before me said.

Good concept as long as it's not like High School of the Dead (good story, got sick with the pantyshots and boobies). I'm thinking leaning more on the Left 4 Dead type of action.

I would like to see your diet. :D Like, post a week's worth of your meals w/ recipes when not self-explanatory!

Also, links to places you like to shop. I miss Japanese shopping and all I seem to buy these days are magazines and tea.

Oh! And manga you're currently reading!

Congratulations! ♥

I donated $40 - just so you know! :)

Hmmm...I'd love to see more posts about the transition into the Japanese community, and how they treat foreigners.

Samurai versus Zombies

Very very b-movie type.

With ketchup for blood.

If I were in the Tokyo area I'd love to help out with those movie ideas; sounds like nothing but fun!

I can't wait to see some of your manga work when you're ready to share it with us. Very excited about this!

As for things you should blog about, I think you'll find stuff on your own, but personally I always love "Gaijin stories". Things that surprise you, things you find that use to surprise you that seem totally normal now (like Japanese TV maybe), the way you're treated compared to others, things you miss from back home...stuff like that. I always enjoy listening to other gaijin talk about their experiences in Japan.

ALSO anything you can tell us about art/being an artist. What made you decide to become a manga/comic artist? Who inspires you? I also always love hearing stuff like that from other artists (^w^) It's fun to swap stories.

Good luck with your studies! I wanted to try and take the 能力試験 this winter but have had no time to study, so looks like I'll have to wait until next spring -.-.

Random question you might not get to, but do you ever think about studying other languages as well? Since I've learned Japanese, and made friends with other foreigners here, my interest in language has increased and I find myself really wishing for time to study a new language as well. I wonder if this happens to other people?

It would be cool to see how you interact with different people; like when you're buying food or items

The different people you see?

If you need a scriptwriter... *raises hand* It's my major! I have all the proper programs and everything. Let me know what you're wanting, and I can work with it and stuff.

As for blogging, what I'd suggest is looking at popular blogs for pop culture, especially in Asia. Japan has quite a few famous ones, like Loco in Yokohama and stuff. William is right into the Japan blogging thing, he should be able to give some resources. In Korea, we have a blog called EatYourKimchi, which is really popular. You might be able to get some ideas from them too. Common themes in popular blogs are daily life stories, food reviews, how to's, and events and stuff. People like daily life... but like reality TV. So it has to be part of your daily life that is really exciting and revved up. :D

So you're launching your new website/blog soon, too? ^-^
I've been working on mine for many, many months now, but it's still not done and probably will take a few more months.
Must be great to be finally finished and you can finally start with it, though :D

Ganbatte with your goals!!

Things that interest me most when reading your blog:

-Daily life/Routine in Japan
This might sound weird, some people have told me before "I'm like everyone else, daily life is no different weither you're in America or Japan" but I beg to differ, I think that someone's life can/might be different depending on the country they are living. Japan is a very different country from North America, so I think living there would be very different than here.

Of course! Pictures of the places you go, the things you see! I love seeing billboards in Japan! And random pictures from the train/subway, or even out of no where shots from the streets of Tokyo while you're on your way somewhere.

JAPANESE FOOD! YUMYUMYUM! Pictures, pictures, pictures of japanese food :D Can be of things you make (I always like learning how to make japanese food at home) or the restaurants you go to!

Maybe not more than 1 or 2 posts on this cause it could get redondent, but I have always struggled with my weight and since I love the food in Japan so much, I would like to know how you manage to keep your weight and/or loose weight while living in Tokyo. When I travel there I always end up eating tons of rice and noodles and gain weight U_____U'' I can't remember if you posted about this before... Sorry for my request if you have!

That's all I can think right now... When I read blogs I also look for fashion, shopping, beauty, make-up, nails, etc. But that doesn't seem to be your type of thing n_____n

Hey, everyone. Sorry to derail but I have a question and thought I'd ask here!

So I'm a complete beginner when it comes to learning japanese and need your assistance.

I enjoy playing video games so I figured I could play some japanese games for help. By this I mean, I can translate what they are saying and play, so I would be learning while also being amused. Because of this, I would probably like to stick to children's games or games targeted at a younger audience so the language is simpler (maybe one revolving around easier questions also). Does anyone know any games I should check out? (console, handheld or flash) Pokemon itself has been helpful for remembering katakana but sometimes the in game dialogue is too tricky for me.

Sounds really fun about the film making ideas! One of my friends is really into film-making, so I'll ask her about it and maybe she can contact you through LJ. :)

As for posts: I'm interested in anything like food, love, books, and what not. :)

I would love to help you as a scripwriter! Count me in! =)

Is it too late to comment?
Congrats on the commercial! Would love to hear about your experience while doing it.

I can't offer any help for your movie but I would love to see it and do some critiquing or whatever. :)

Blog posts ideas:
- Like everyone said, daily life. Routines, people you've met up with, etc.

- Your work. Manga-making process and anything else you're thinking of doing (but I think this is a given)

- New/cool places in Japan. Especially if it's a restaurant.

- Be awesome to learn some Japanese, or read some stories
about when you first arrived in the country. Things like mispronunciation resulting in embarrassing vocab/ideas, getting lost, interacting with people, how people treated you as a foreigner, etc.

- Reviews of movies, manga, anime, dramas.

- fashion trends and some stuff about the different subcultures
