Chocolate tea and musings..
Sort of continuing on with my last post, here is new chocolate milk tea!! Something that I've been making at my house for ages (it's not common, but I stock up when I see chocolate black tea =D), now in a convenient calorie&sugar-laden form! It tasted a lot like chocolate milk, so it was pretty good! But to be honest, I would rather make my own healthy version at home, with chocolate tea, pal sweet, and creamer. 20 calories as opposed to 200, plus a stronger chocolate taste.... but this version was definitely good too!

And for those who wanted to see pictures of my sister and her baby.. Here is one! My little sister Jennifer, her husband, and their son. This is their third kid.. My little brother is married, too. It's a little bit weird that I am the oldest sibling, but I'm not married or anything. But I guess for me, I have never found THE ONE (whether a girl or a guy, I can love anyone!), and my career is the most important. I want love almost more than I want anything, but maybe the one thing that I want more is success. So.. it's no-holds-barred to success in career and love both this year (and forever on!)!!!

Speaking of which, I have a few new things in my life that I do want to share.... and will be doing so soon!! Until I am ready to though, I am wondering...

How are you doing on your resolutions???

I am toning up my body slowly (but doing it!), posting more in lj, and made a new friend or two.. but the rest of the stuff has to wait for later in the year, lol. But I'm not being lazy about it, at least, and that feels good!! *goes off to get some raspberries and then paint the wall*

been keeping up my res pretty well!
been drawing bunch of pages, keeping up with my webcomic Galactic Divine (though I havent toned it yet), doing a lot of illustrations for the print deadline and make some art books. Already have a script up to send publishers and with this commission, I've imported more art books. Including the tutorial art book from Arina!

I'm... trying to take up japanese again. I'd like to be an assistant for a year or so then come back to the states.

Isn't that book great? A lot of the materials she uses are the same ones that we use in K-sensei's studio.

Good luck on your comic!! Let me know how it goes! An assistant life is a really hard one, but it gives you a lot of great experience. ^^

Honestly, you seem almost too skinny, but I just thought it was your genetics. I'm surprised that your so calorie conscious! Trust me, you're lovely! and a few pounds wouldn't hurt your looks at all :)
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on January 29th, 2010 06:10 am (UTC)
Haha, I am only too skinny if you compare me to the average American. I would like to be able to wear anything and feel confident, so there is quite a bit to go. Angelina Jolie's body type would be my ideal.

Actually the summer before last I really, really, really worked hard, and lost around 30 pounds. Now I'm back to my high school weight, but I was a lot skinnier in high school so I don't really get what's going on.

B-but, I think Angelina (not average American??) is sexy and last I saw she wasn't stick-thin. ;_;

...we change after high school in lots of ways, I think we improve. Don't be too hard on yourself! ^_^

Cute baby =3
I've never really been particular over the 'have to be married at xx age thing since my parents married late.
Resolutions, ahh, so far I've managed to keep to the weight one and lost some~ I'll have to do some toning exercise too.
That choco milk tea look good~

It's just that I want to be able to go to a tropical beach for my honeymoon and travel the world with my partner. And I want to do it while I am young enough to look like I am in my 20s. =D And of course early enough to wear a bikini and have people stare at me in jealousy =D WANT.

Yum, chocolate milk tea sounds so good. @_@

I actually started the 1001 Day Project instead of doing NY's resolutions. I figured having a list would make it easier somehow...... :/ Sounds like you're off to a good start for the year, though! Ganbatte ne ;p

I don't feel like I'm doing so well on mine. I am reading more... not an official resolution I made, but something I've resolved to do. I've finished one book so far this year (Ender's Game), and that's one more book than I finished all of last year. I'm reading Catcher In The Rye right now and I'm flying right through it because it's so good.

The writer inside me is still too content to stay locked away, but I'm hoping inspiration and desire bloom while I keep reading all the wonderful books I've missed out on. I have a lot of great ideas I'd like to pry out of my head. Trouble is, like with a lot of things for me, I don't even know where to start, which becomes very discouraging. Frankly, I wish I could open up my creative resevoirs the way I open up to writing these long-winded comments to your blog.

Keep pursuing your goals and dreams, I have faith in you. per aspera ad astra!

I'm always collecting drinks (also candies like Strawberry KitKat bars from Japan - still looking for the Cherry Blossom flavor) from other countries and I can say I've never heard of (nor seen) chocolate flavored tea o_0!

I'd just be buying up strange stuff like that in no time. *dorks self*

And! You're still young. Plenty of time left to find love or have it find you. Either way - Keep doing what you're doing you seem pretty happy so far! <3 ^^

I can definitely tell you guys are sisters from the picture. :3

I'm the oldest too, but not married and the only one without kids. But everyone is different.

I didn't make any official resolutions, but stuff I wanted to work on sort of timed itself to January, so they're sort of like honorary resolutions. X3;

I have dropped probably around 20 lbs this month, though. Without any drastic diets or doing anything harmful. ;o;

First choco soda, now choco tea...interesting drinks Japan has. I read in Reader's Digest about a drink made from pig placenta (is this true?)

Waah, you look good already. I need to get a move on or I will die before 40...kekeke.

Your nephew's really cute (and red). Not to worry, I'm the youngest and the only one unmarried too. But I'm not in a hurry to get hitched.

Doing good. Save tons of cash, so I'll be able to tour Japan quite easily this summer. =)

You're making me crave chocolate with all these posts, lol. Your sisters baby is soooo cute ^w^

I'm sure you will find love one day. Just remember, the right person is out there, and they're waiting to find you too!

Hum, my resolutions...

-To love more and hate less I think I'm doing good so far, but I still worry over some past things I want to move on from.
-To become more serious about my writing and drawing Sadly I havn't been able to do much since I've been studying for exams. But tests are over now so I can get back to being creative!
-To be a good friend to everyone around me Being more social than usual. Gotta write letters to all my friends overseas though.
-To make a positive difference I need to get my rear in gear and start sewing. I want to raise money for charities, but I can't do that unless I'm selling something...
-To be a more active Christian Kind of goes with the above resolution right now ^w^;
-To master 1000 kanji Well thanks to exams I've started on nearly 400. Havn't mastered them but I'm able to read some words with those kanji and can write them, so I'd say I'm well on my way if I can just keep it up!

As a resolution, I would like to make chocolate tea. I had never heard of that, and I'm intrigued O__O
How do you do it ? XD
kingkongbundae on February 1st, 2010 09:25 pm (UTC)
In trying to be more daring I have asked for a raise, which did not result in victory but it was a good growth experience for me...pushed me out of my comfort zone and I know if I am patient and keep working hard, the money will come!
Also, I finished a screenplay treatment and am submitting it at the end of the week. Cross you fingers for me!
I still have far to go but I'll keep trying! You do the same!

Berry Cafe
Very random completely unrelated comment, but wanted to know if you were still up to meeting us at the Berry Cafe tomorrow around 7pm-ish? I'll just leave my cell email on here (I'm on AU so I'm sure if I leave just the beginning you'll know the rest)

Hope you can come, it'll be lots of fun ! And I get to show off my boyfriend.
