Tenipuri BREAK!
I didn't lie, this is related to art, lol... right? I just wanted to take a break from 'work' to let everybody know.. Shin Tenipuri vol. 2 just came out!! We added a number of pages to the story (in the middle of things, not at the end), so it fills in some of the parts that people were the most curious about! I really, really recommend it!! (Plus, the art looks much better in the books than the magazine!)

Pair Puri vol. 3 also just came out... I can't wait for vol. 4, because the special manga that we did for Nioh is so hilarious! Well, at least I thought so.. maybe it was just me XP

Can you believe that this ----------->
is the culmination of over a year's worth of work? We started actual manga production a year ago last December, although there were several months of design and preparations including taking pictures on location, etc etc. (The training camp is based loosely on real place(s), though I guess that goes without saying?)

Which reminds me.. did I ever post about JUMP Festa? If not, then I'll get to it sometime in the near future (hopefully!). Today is for drawing and practicing for Pop'n Press. Working on new lj design! (and webspace too!) I have faith that I will get it up by tonight!! (Wish me luck! To be honest my coding totally sucks so I might flub a bit)

Alright, back to work!
Current Location: kitchen
Current Mood: cheerful but in pain..

Well, to make one 単行本 is about a year of regular magazine issues, yeah? (just trying to remember the ratio from a reader POV).

So I guess it's about right... all nicely purified there on the shelf in nice paper :)

Programming can be similar, seeing some small thing, thinking "wow, it took us that long?" but... it's the details!

Looks good.

To look at those volumes on your shelf going "I've done this much so far", I think it's one of the greatest feelings for an aspiring mangaka. From 2010 onwards, I'll still be here cheering you on! :)

Wow has it been that long? I guess when one works so hard the time just flies. Keep it up!

Totally random but should post it before I forget. I found some spicy foods that were shown on one of the AKB48 tv shows that you might want to try in Tokyo. I'll have to gather up the restaurant names from the screen caps I grabbed to show you. One was a habanero spiced fried chicken, with habanero sauce, and habanero flakes. It looked scary.

That's awesome, Jamie! I am such a Tenipuri fan. ;) It would be awesome to work on a fantastic project like Tenipuri, though I'm sure there are plenty of times in the middle of working when deadlines are looming when it can be stressful.

Very nice indeed...
My sister told me of you journal and so, visiting it feels like visiting the place (much cheaper, though), but still, I can't help but want to be there... at least you look like you enjoy your time and it shows through your journals. I can only wish you to meet Mr. Right and to keep up the good work, my sister's a reader of "Prince of Tennis" (this side of Canada), but we only get the black and white albums.

Just to say I'm very proud of your work and I think many visitors of your journal feel the same way.

Luck and lots of ambition to you.

I'd be jumping with glee (if I had any energy left) to see something like that on my shelf. Haha. ^___^

I so want to read Shin Tenipuri (fell in love with The Prince of Tennis right from the start).

Any-ways, enough commenting from this stranger. =P

Waaah! I was thinking of doing something like that as well! I was wondering at what age did you decide to go to Japan. And how long did it take you to master Japanese? ^___^ I heard life there is really tough. I really want to go there and persue my dream as well...
