The Vampire cafe!
This is the last of my posts for the day! =D

So, the final stop for Saturday (it was a full day!) was the Vampire cafe! Yeah... the Vampire Cafe.

Which is... exactly like it sounds! A kitchy cafe decorated to look all dracula and bloooooooood. Something a lot of people I know back home would like XD

Honestly, it was interesting, but.. well, too smoky. I would gladly go back if it was nonsmoking, but since that isn't going to happen and it was utterly miserable from the smoke of the drug-addicted girl behind us (they ARE drugs), and the chain-smoking guy next to us, I won't be going back.

However, whenever Tokyo is made smoke-free, I am so coming back! Here's to the future!!

The sign downstairs.... Would you believe that this cafe is in the uber-flashy super-high-society Ginza? XD

Me... after a long day of volunteering and walking across the city.. the lighting was really low though, so blur couldn't be helped.. ^^;;

Eda (dilettantka) and Will (genkischuldich)

Adelle (blodeuedd) and me ^_^v

Whenever we wanted something, we had to ring a bell for the waiters... literally! They kept mistaking us for other tables, though.. The waitresses were cute-- dressed in little maid costumes. The waiters in butler costumes were cute, but the two waiters dressed in full-on halloween Dracula costumes (the corny kind) were a little too much, lol. But at least they didn't sparkle? It's not like there was any sunlight, anyways..

The seasonal menu

The bathroom sink was really cool!!

The entrance hall was sufficiently creepy!

Dracula's coffin had a cool candleabra on it.. I wanted to take a picture of the coffin, but people were eating on it ^^;;

My drink!! It was non-alcoholic of course.... but so delicious! It was called a "snow rose"... Other than some kind of rose flavoring, I'm not sure what was in it, but I want more!! Gotta find out and get some of that!

Adele's toast XD

This was on my tiny omelette XD

Eda's risotto (?!) wanted my drink XDXD

My dessert.. Banana mousse!

Neat - have you done the Alice in Wonderland one in Kabukicho?

Eihon no kuni no Alice, IIRC...

Oh, I thought it was in Ginza! I haven't tried it, but I want to... (though the fact that it's bound to be miserably smoky makes me hesitate)

Oh my, this is so fitting for a Halloween treat.
This is definitely a must-visit cafe @_@

I was not very tempted by the "prison style" one. But this one: OMG yes! I'll definitely go there if I can. Plus, everything looks delicious especially the "snow rose" drink you had!
And as always, thanks for sharing!

Looks really cool XD I wonder if I can convince friends to go there for my birthday in December, lol.

I can understand the smoking problem- it totally ruins the mood -.- But that aside this place looks pretty cool! Though I'm sure it was expensive XD The portions look pretty small... but looks like a good place to go for some drinks and a little desert or snack. Wish I could goooo~

That looks like such an interesting cafe! I wouldn't mind cosplaying something more gothic-esque there :D

This is just... LOL. If for nothing else, for the laugh of it, I would really like to order everything they have to know how the decoration is. Your snow rose looked awesome! ^^
Now I have a question. Since Japanese seem to copy many things to make it into a cafe, do they have anything with knights, like in the middle ages?

Hee, my friend and I ate there when I was in Tokyo and she was visiting. We both wanted to do one theme restaurant, so... it was very kitschy, but we liked it.

Wow. I like the picture of the risotto.

This place is quite interesting, except when you mentioned the smoking part. Although I have been to bars that I can practically see the smoke like some layer.

I wonder (even if it's a silly thing to ask), is this open the whole year round?

oh wow! All of that is so cute!

Seems like a place to check out if I ever get to Japan... but the general "smoke everywhere" makes me :C and not wanna go (I'm so glad Canada is pretty much non-smoking, haha)

The food looks really yummy, though probably expensive for the cheesyness.
I don't mind smoking places, in fact I rather like them. I don't smoke myself and never will, but not for health reasons (as let's face it we're all gonna get some sort of cancer some day, that's just life and second smoke isn't really that bad any more so than the other things of us do everyday) but for money reasons. It's so cheap in Japan but it's still money that can better be spent on my love for idols. I just like the smoke cuz my mom smokes so it reminds me of home. I get a headache if I'm around it for too long, but it makes me wish NY state allowed restaurants to have the choice instead of just saying they have to be non-smoking.

At a vampire cafe I'd love to see one of them even holding a fake cigarette just cuz it fits the atmosphere of that kakkoii looking undead. I understand that people have problems with it but I really don't see the big deal. I'm probably just weird though.
