Thank everyone so much for the birthday wishes! They are really appreciated!! I really have enjoyed reading everyones posts about their goals- reading what others are doing keeps me inspired to keep pursuing my own goals!

Just to let everyone know, both my pc and my laptop are broken right now. I am writing this from my cell phone, so it's taking quite a while, lol. It might be almost a month before I can get my laptop fixed (it is under warranty, but has to be sent in to the manufacturer). So I probably won't post unless I can fix my pc in the meantime. I will try hard to do that, though it may be out of my hands.. it has been broken for at least 3 months now (which is why I bought the laptop!) and on the fritz for years! Wish me luck!

I will be in and out of the studio in the next couple of weeks, but in my free time try to work on non-digital art. Hopefully despite the setbacks, I can stay on track! I will borrow a friends computer or go to a net cafe if something really important comes up!

See you all soon (hopefully)!

Both broke?! Talk about unlucky! I think you're computers were sadistically saying happy birthday. I hope your artwork will keep you occupied though!

I'm planning to head to Japan Town in San Francisco next week and I'll hopefully have Prince of Tennis Shin by then! <3 Lots of people are cheering you on from the states! I've looked for the Jump Square when it first debuted with PoT II and it was *GONE* at Kinokuniya..lol..so I'm hoping I'll ge to finally see the sparkley second season real soon if it doesn't disappear off the shelves as fast as the debuting Jump Square did. xD

Well, you know what is saying: bad luck on one thing, good luck on another. Maybe it's a signal about your yearly goals. A month without PC, and a year of success!!!!!!! *yes, it's a bit stupid, I know... but is a hopefuly thought*

Have a nice month!

japan Podshow interview
Dear jamie,

Joseph Tame here - I interviewed you at Danny Choo's Figure event.

Just wanted to tell you that the podcast featuring your interview is now live

http://pokya.jp/japanpodshow/2009/08/manga-modelling-land-earthquakes/

Your interview was wonderful, a real highlight, and we are very grateful.

I hope you don't mind that I used teh photo off your blog.

Note the tennis racket in the picture for the episode... a hat tip to the manga!

thanks

joseph

Hi-chan
Hi Jamie,

I think I'm the first Brazilian to write you. I do not speak Japanese, neither am very good at English, but we share the common love for mangas and tokyo. I hope you fix your pcs and come back soon to write.
Ah wishes for your birthday (I know it's a little late).
Now, I read your other posts.
Enjoy Tokyo for me.
Hugs

Alisson
