Today the studio ordered curry for breakfast. One of my coworkers ordered natto curry and swears that its the most amazing thing ever! Im a little bit doubtful, but then Im not japanese so I havent had the longtime exposure to natto to get used to the taste..

I leveled up and ordered mine at spice level 5 (out of 10). This seems to be code for 'so hot that you burn a hole in the roof of your mouth!' It hurts!!

Spicy food is happiness♥

I had one of my shipmates trick me into eating a Level 10 a year ago. I actually managed to finish it... an epic battle...

Let me assure you... it burrrnnns! (And the endgame wasn't fun either!)

But, that is one of my manly Japan stories... is suriving a level 10 Cocos!

(I typically like level 5 myself... I love hot and spicy curry... so yeah!)

Natto is... no, I can't say why people want that on curry. It sounds rancid. I'll go as far as Natto-maki, but anything more... egh.....

Gonna have to agree there...

Cocoichi! I am staying away from anything but their half portions, now, and I'm not going to have cheese either. Too many calories. T_T

Natto curry. I don't mind eating a bit of natto with rice. I liked it the first time I tried it, but can't eat it in big quantities. It's not bad actually, but natto curry... hm... XD

If you ever come down to Melbourne I'll take you to a restaurant called Spicy Fish. They have 3 grades of spiciness but level 2 is already very hot lol I can handle a medium-high level, but not extremely spicy stuff =P

Waitwait, where IS this place? It sounds good, next time the gangs meets up we should go. Then afterwards we can go to karaoke and sing Westlife songs again, AND ABSOLUTELY DECIMATE OUR THROATS \♥/

ALSO: Yo Jamie~! XDb

She was referring to a place in Japan, and I there are places in Melbourne selling natto, but not in a curry form =P

So wait, does Spicy Fish sell natto or curry? Or did you think I thought you and J were talking about the same place? I'm so confused! Lol never mind, we'll talk about it in person XD

(sorry for spamming your LJ, ma'am)

Spicy Fish is a chinese place in chinatown that has lots of chilli dishes~ no natto there though~ we should go there when we meet up next time, but it's better to go earlier cuz it gets crowded ^^

Oh man I miss CoCo Curry. I never went up any levels since I thought the level 1 was spicy enough (I could've handled up to 4, perhaps, but 5? Good for you, haha!)

There is a GoGo curry in NYC but it's not nearly as good as CoCo. One of the Japanese chains I miss (along with MosBurger!!)

Anyway, I saw your journal on the LJ spotlight and figure I'd add you, I spent a semester in Tokyo 2 years ago and miss it a lot.

CoCo's is the best. I have never loved anything so much as curry, before, during, and after I came to Japan.
