Well, I'm back and this time off for a few weeks or so! I have to say, this is an interesting schedule to get used to... Work 16ish hours a day, a few weeks a month, and then have the other few weeks off to do your own thing. Not like what I ever expected! I do like it though, since it gives me a lot of free time when I am off. ^^

I've been making a lot of plans with a lot of different friends, and that's such a great feeling. Some of them I haven't seen in a long time! I'm still going to try and grab some more people to go hang out, though. Then of course, there's the new 20th Century Boys movie that I want to see, and I have to start working on my manga. Tomorrow, the plan is to go to Akihabara in the morning and take reference pictures, and then I have errands to run in the afternoon. Busy busy busy! Since when are days off so busy?!

I have been feeling kind of introspective the last few days. Moreso, the last day in general. I feel really focused on my dreams, at least, and maybe even, there's a new driving force behind it. One important thing, is that I want to make sensei proud of me one day. I want to make myself proud of me. A great life is on the horizon!! As long as I work hard for it! (And you too!)

PS: I forgot to mention 'work out' in there somewhere.. Maybe I can fit it in at night? GAH but I miss exercise!! It's one of the sad things about being stuck in the studio all day for days on end. (which means I should get some Vitamin D, too!)

It's really nice to read such a positive entry and I think with just such an attitude you really can succeed and reach your goals. :)

I think so too!! At least, that's the hope! ^__^ Good luck to you too, ne? And I hope that I can see you the next time that you make it over here!

Hi! I have been reading your journal for few years already and I thought you had stopped writing it because I hadn't get any updates from you anymore for a while. After a long while I noticed that for some reason you were not in my friends list anymore. Some lj bug maybe, who knows, as I didn't remove you! Anyway I added you back and I am happy to be reading again.
Greetings from Miyu in Finland :)

Cute tennis ball; is it a limited item? ><;; I was wondering if you know where I can get one of Fuji :)
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 6th, 2009 12:22 pm (UTC)
I think so! It's the same tennis ball that Sakuno drew for Ryoma in the anime/manga, so I think that it's the only design. Gomen, I don't know where to get it, though!

Just don't forget how proud we are of you! *hugs* I know I am definitely proud of all the things you've accomplished. Also, I'd love a schedule like yours. Enjoy your time off, and I wish that I was out there for you to hang with because I miss you!

This seems to be the time for being introspective. There's a lot of life to think about, so I totally understand. Perhaps we should drop some emails or plan a Skype? Take care, sis!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 6th, 2009 12:23 pm (UTC)
*hugs* Thank you sis!!! ^_____^ It means a lot to hear those words from you <3

For some reason Skype won't work on my computer (some problem getting the sound card to recognize microphones), but let's chat!! There is always email, but do you use msn at all? You can plug in my email address and I should show up during the times when I'm home. ^^

Do people in Japan go running like people her in the U.S.? I mean, I guess it depends on where you are. I live in the biggest city in the state and people go running all over, but it seems like Tokyo and the like would be so crowded that you wouldn't be able to do that.

*hugs* We're all proud of you!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 6th, 2009 12:24 pm (UTC)
Yep, running is pretty popular, even in the middle of the city. ^_^ I can't run, though, for various reasons. But I love biking when the weather isn't too cold!

What's your manga going to be about? :O If you don't mind telling me, of course. x3

From what I've seen of your drawings, I'd buy your manga in a heart beat! * o*

wooh nice! I would kill(?) for a schedule like this. It's like you can switch from the super-hard working mode to super-laid back mode. which reminds me, kinda like a school setting, but less stretched out: work super-hard during the semesters and chill in summer and winter holidays. But now it's more of, work decently hard the whole year except winter holidays (because summer is for internships or summer school time; ah obsession with productivity), kinda like the working world. It's great you're doing stuff you love while you are at hard-working mode ne!

Just out of curiosity, is this a part-time job? Maybe I have heard too many rumors but I heard Japanese firms in general work you like a slave??? Overtime is pretty common (well 16+ hours per day is pretty much overkill).

Chibi-ryoma is kawaii~~~I think I saw that in the last episode of the TV anime??
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 6th, 2009 12:27 pm (UTC)
I like it to a point-- it can be pretty stressful and hard on the health especially. But it's much better than working all of the time, that's for sure! ^^

It's a ... full-time job, I guess? I'm not on contract exactly so it's not really defined, but if you put together the hours that we're working right now, it's about equivalent to working a 40-hour work week for four weeks a month.

Hey! Are you still up for the Launch Festival on the 22nd in Akihabara?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 6th, 2009 12:27 pm (UTC)
If I'm off of work, I'm SO there! =D (I doubt that we'll be off though, sadly ToT)

Maybe you should take up yoga, that way you can still do it in an area like the studio, and still get a workout? Just a random idea there. I'm glad everything seems to be working out well for you, have fun!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 6th, 2009 12:27 pm (UTC)
That's a good idea!!! I don't really have a lot of personal time while I"m there, but I'll look into doing it at night or something =D
