Those are Donuts O_o? but they don't have a hole in the middle xD
I would call them "Berliner"( at least in the part of germany where I come from)^^
britta43britta43 on August 25th, 2008 04:43 pm (UTC)
And Berliner is a "jelly filled Donut" in English.

That's why JFK's "ich bin ein Berliner" was so funny in germany....meaning I'm a jelly filled donut. He thought it meant, I'm from Berlin, or a citizen of berlin. (I am a New Yorker...we like to add -Er...)
hagelschadenhagelschaden on August 26th, 2008 10:56 am (UTC)
In Germany you only get Donuts with holes the rest are Berliners here(and it doesen't matter what filling is in them), exept you go to dunkin donuts(but there are only a few in Germany)^^
The people from Berlin call them "Pfannkuchen"^^

O.O are those even donuts? there are so many of them! O.O scary~ but they should be real nice. yummy. :P
v_rozouvan on August 25th, 2008 11:43 am (UTC)
the doughnut marching remind me of the time when Homer is in hell, and is forced to eat all the doughnuts he can. you see this conveyor belt emptying into his mouth. and the best part, Homer had the final laugh when there was no more doughnuts left ;)

And is this a mutant watermelon?

It might be. Plus yellow watermelons have less calories then the red ones ;) They are a whole different variety of watermelon.

3 outlets opened in Melbourne City in the past year =.=()... personally I don't really like the stuffed doughnuts... and I find KK a little too sweet for my tastes.

I've eaten yellow watermelon before ^^

Depending of where, sometimes you get really sweet and tasty ones. ^^

"Cream Watermelon"?? I don't believe I've ever heard of THAT.

Jelly donuts sound really good right now..

you guys are lucky they're doing well so the donuts are always fresh. the krispy kreme near my house is almost always empty, so their donuts are almost never fresh and warm any more ;_;

i used to always see the yellow watermelons at the japanese supermarkets and want to try them... i can't remember if i ever did now, but i'm kind of allergic to them now (they make me feel nauseous when i eat them ;_;) so i haven't really thought about them in a while...

Weird, Asumi and I were talking about a Krispy Cream near her place earlier. When it first opened there was a huge line of people.

While she was here she had her first, and we split it. Those things are so bad for you.

Are the lines for donuts still ridiculous over there? I guess that's one thing to be grateful for. I can just roll up to a Krispy Kreme here, grab a dozen (plus the free sample you always get), and leave in about 5 min.

Yellow watermelon is delicious! P: We sell it at Trader Joe's and I think it's yummy. So you get a 1/4 of one for 498 yen? Man you can get a whole one for $5.99 here...

Krispy Kreme in AZ
Luckily, there's one in AZ, and it's near (relatively - if you call 12 miles "near") my house in East Mesa by Superstition Springs Mall.

I remember when I worked at AMEX in N. Phoenix (had to drive past Art Inst. every morning!!!) and we'd stop at KK on the way in or have one of the contractors go get us a couple dozen during break. :)

Ah... yummy. :)

Re: Krispy Kreme in AZ

I want some now! Together we can defeat the mob! lol

So they call that watermelon "cream watermelon", interesting. I had one once and it was really good, it's pretty rare to see it around here unfortunately.
I thought it was so strange when I first saw it.
