Uwaaa, it's so warm today!!

It seems that I've somehow still been really busy. I started work on little-to-no-sleep, and somehow made it through my first two days.. then it was the weekend, and even better-- Golden Week!! ^O^ No work for a week! But now I have no money. Literally *no* money, like not even enough to buy lunch/dinner/breakfast/train fare/life (..?). I must do something about that, I just.. don't know what to do, but yeah..

I *did* clean my room!! ^O^ Both my room and my studio, which both hadn't been cleaned for almost two months really. They were getting pretty nasty, and just full of junk, but now they're pretty much back to normal!! (Which means clean but with an organized clutter in places. XD;) My next step is to start organizing my books in the hallway, and what's on the shelves in my studio. But I don't know, the drive to make money is warring at me with the drive to finish the organizing. And then I should finish up those chibi drawings and some other things.. but no money = low motivation for fun, urgh..

Anyways!! Eda is over to draw because she says that she can concentrate better over here, so I should work on some more art. Uwa! (but.. money!)

I. Seven things that scare you
1. Ants!!!!!!! (this is major!)

III. Seven random facts about you
1. I like peanut-butter-and-pickle sandwiches!! YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!! (but they have to be salty pickles, not sour/sweet!)
2. I don't have a hometown, so I never know what to answer when people ask me, "where are you from?" Maybe it's in the Tri Cities, Washington (where I lived the greatest combined amount of time), in Lancaster, California (where I lived for 4 years during grade/middle school), or Phoenix, Arizona (where I went to college and made some of my closest friends and started discovering myself). I really can't say which was more important to me..
3. I stil haven't decided what I want to do with my life! Though I will say that I've got a better idea than I did a few years ago! But I am still learning, and honestly it's hard to make that kind of an important decision! I really don't want a boring life!!
4. I've been paragliding but I have never skied or went scuba-diving! I don't want to go skiing (too cold!!), but I definitely want to go diving! I really actually want to go searching for buried treasure!!

IV. Seven things you plan to do before you die.
1. Own at least three houses that I've designed and had built. One will be in Tokyo, the other in Southern CA (probably), and the other on a tropical island (possibly Hawaii because of the land-ownership laws). I said at least! =D
2. Become a billionaire.
3. Live on Mars/the Moon or another planet other than ours for at least 6 months.
4. Live to be 200 years old, in good health and looking young! At least. =D

5. Draw fairly decently. =D
6. Order food in English, Japanese, or Spanish! (not well, but...!!)
7. Imagine the world around me as something else-- I really like to walk along a secluded path and pretend that it's some other time, like in the elf-strewn woods of old Ireland, or the ancient fields full od Dinosaurs from the Jurassic era~<3

3. Is sweet and nurturing/caring
4. Is easygoing, but will speak up for themselves! ^o^

peanut-butter-and-pickle sandwiches

These are delicious. There is a peanut butter-centered diner in New York and this is what they give you when you ask for a "Pregnant Lady".
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 29th, 2008 11:49 am (UTC)
Mmmmm, I think that I need to go there! I have a peanut-butter cookbook, and I wonder if it's from the same company!

I find people who don't believe in the supernatural/aliens/ufos (at least some of them) to be very closed-minded. And you are wrong, but that's neither here nor there!

You might not like my gut reaction to this, because it's very negative. I was wondering whether to shut about it, but it really, really bugs me.

I think that sentence alone shows you to be closed-minded. After all, being open-minded means to accept other people's opinions and feelings about something, which you definitely do not portray in this line alone (by saying "you are wrong" simply because you happen to believe in it).

I probably should have shut up about it, but it made me twitch. Big time. If you're offended, I'm really sorry, it's not my purpose. I don't say things with the purpose of hurting others. You're also free to delete the comment if it upsets you. But please think on it a bit?

Of course, if you disagree with my reaction, don't hesitate to tell me why. ^-^ You know I always like to know why people do or say or think what they do.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 29th, 2008 11:49 am (UTC)
Well, I disagree, only because I think that there definitely are many of these supernatural creatures out there. So saying, for example, that there are no such thing as aliens, it's the same as saying that there are no such things as tigers. Tigers actually exist, as much as aliens exist, so that makes the statement "there are no such things as tigers" wrong.

I hope that makes sense! Well, that's how I meant it anyways-- that in by denying that something exists that actually exists, you're incorrect!
aionwathaaionwatha on April 29th, 2008 11:55 am (UTC)
But there is proof that tigers exist, but none that alien exist (as of this writing anyway, unless there's some I haven't heard of - without going into conspiracy theories, lol).

By the way, I want to point out that by my reaction to your opinion, I've proven myself to be pretty closed-minded also, just because it made me twitch. And again, being open-minded implies that you accept others' opinions. So if your opinion made me twitch, I guess I'm pretty closed-minded, too. XD;;
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 29th, 2008 01:24 pm (UTC)
I guess by that definition I'm pretty closed-minded, too. At least involving this. I've always thought of open-minded people as the ones that believe in supernatural things and the like. But then I don't believe in God (at least not in the form that is common), so that would make me very closed-minded about that. So my original comment would be hypocritical.. though I still stick by it. ^^;;

Mmm though actually, there is a lot of proof that aliens exist! It's been all over the news, most people just dismiss it as conjecture. ;o;
aionwathaaionwatha on April 29th, 2008 02:51 pm (UTC)
There's been news of the virgin Mary appearing to the faithful as well. The thing is, with these kind of things, the believers will believe, the skeptics will doubt and the people who are in the middle will ponder.

You say you've seen UFOs. People who believe in such things will go: see? See? It's true! And people who don't believe will wonder: Why believe her? She could be lying.

If I told you I saw god or angels who talked of god, would it make you believe in a supreme, all powerful being overlooking your life? Probably not, even if you know me and know I wouldn't lie about something like that. You'd probably wonder if maybe I was drinking or hallucinating.

It's the same thing for UFOs and the like. I've never seen one, but I know a couple people who have. I'm not convinced there ARE aliens visiting us with spaceships and all that, but I believe it IS possible. So I guess I'm on the fence, admitting that it'd be a bit silly that in the whole universe with all of the planets, ours alone should be inhabited. But until we have definite contact with some intelligent form from outer space, I'm not going to say there are aliens for sure either.

And as for ghosts, well... you know my point of view on the matter. I'm not really willing to go into it in a public entry. XD;;

I guess it's just the "you are wrong" comment that offends me. I dislike that sort of categorical dismissal of what people might hold to be their truth.

To risk going all pensive on you, the older I get, the more I feel like I know nothing. There is so much out there I want to learn, not just facts but things about the human mind and behaviour as well.

I know this is your journal and you're allowed to write whatever you want in it. If you can't write out your thoughts in your own journal, what's the point in having one? But imagine if I were to write in an entry "Unicorns and vampires don't exist and those who believe they do need to grow up (or "they're wrong!")." I think that might irk you a bit.

For the record, that's not my opinion, but I was just trying to use something you might relate to so I could explain my reaction a bit. Personally, I believe in some supernatural stuff and the rest I'll allow it's highly possible, if unproven. But there might be people who don't believe in such things and that could be very offensive for them. Like: "Haha, you're wrong, you fail! I have no proof, but I say so." Of course, you didn't exactly say that and I'm probably reading waaaaay too much into it. But yeah, that's why it bothered me.

a bit off topic
im going to tokyo on june but just for a day, my friend lives in adachi-ku, tokyo, but narita international is so freaking far away from like the city it self. What should I do? We really wanna meet, and my flight next day is at 1030 @_@ any advise?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 29th, 2008 12:29 pm (UTC)
Re: a bit off topic
Well, the only solution that I can see is to have your friend meet you at Narita. ^__^ Saves you a lot of travel time and if she's there when you land, you can hang out the rest of your stay! ^^
ルリdemonruri on April 29th, 2008 12:32 pm (UTC)
Re: a bit off topic
you can hang out in Narita O_o? Does the airport have like lugguage bins/lockers so you can leave them there for a long time? @___@ why do they make that airport EXTREMELY inconvienant
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 29th, 2008 01:27 pm (UTC)
Re: a bit off topic
Well, I mean, nobody would want to hang out at the airport all day, I'm sure. Maybe you can get the clerks to hold your luggage with you? Or check it in early? Or something like that? But I've heard that there are some things to do in the city of Narita-- since you're going to be there all day, you might as well leave the airport and go do a little bit of hanging out. Why not go to a park or check out the temple or something like that? ^^

Ohhh you know, I never really realised that before. I'm the same! I have NO idea what to say when people ask me that, and I usually just go "well I moved around a lot..?" I don't really consider Albuquerque my home town, though I lived there as long as I lived in Spain...

Yeah... maybe the next time people ask, we should just say, "nandeyanen".. Covers all the bases!

"What do you think of Tieria and Lockon's secret rendevous?"

1. Ants!!!!!!! (this is major!)

Why that? Mind you, I'm only asking because it's the same for me. As a kid I accidently stepped in an ant hill and I still remember them crawling on me and then everything is blank and my memory is missing. One ant I can watch from a distance, but the more the scarier.
