How do you feel today?
Happy Birthday to a few friends of mine-- Melissa, Junko, and Alsie! ^__^ Last weekend, coming right off of a busy-as-hell week at work, I had Vday dinner on Friday night, then Melissa's birthday party on Saturday, and Junko's Birthday live and party on Sunday, and then back to work on Monday, recoup on Tuesday, and today: the Hospital! Tiiiiiiiring, I tell you! Tiring, but for the most part fun!! ^O^

I've been really enjoying my friends a lot. Of course, how could it be any different! ^O^ Melissa's birthday party was great, and I met some nice people. I was in a bad mood because of rude people on the train AGAIN, but more about that later. We had dinner at Wolfgang Puck's in Harajuku, and then milled around in the Kiddy Land toy store for a while, where I found GREAT things like Astronaut freeze-dried KIMCHEE (!!!), popples displays, and humping dogs for your USB port! ♥ Serious WTF Japan, that!

On Sunday, Junko had a great live-- it was back at Sweet Basil in Roppongi, which is a gorgeous place. It was really nice to see her happy after all that's been going on recently. <3<3 Ganbare, Jun-chan! I wish that there was longer time to see her and Yo-kun and M-san, but it's so busy being a seiyuu I guess. ^^; Hopefully will visit her new office soon!! I met a few nice people for the first time as well, but I've forgotten everyone's name! ToT;; *fails*

On Monday, something at work SERIOUSLY pissed me off. I can't even go into it, because it will just make me angry again. But suffice to say I am counting the days until that job is OVER OVER OVER!! Add that to the upset feelings that I've been having about something a friend said a few weeks ago, and I really was down. It seemed to hit all at once yesterday-- the first time in weeks that I've had a second to relax.

So yesterday, I felt really upset most of the day, and I couldn't concentrate.. I managed to draw a little something for Als for her birthday, and then just gave up and went out for a walk/shopping therapy. I didn't have any money, so no real shopping, but one can dream, right? ^^;; I did end up giving in and having McDonald's for the first time in ages, and rewriting a little bit of my doujinshi script (it's turning out REALLY well!) and then just going home. It was good to get out, though I still felt pretty down. When I got home, I talked to Ami for a while and then we reminisced to "best of the 90s" stuff on YouTube, and I actually went to be late but felt a lot better. ^^ Thanks Ami!

Today, Scott helped be my moral support and interpretor (my medical japanese = SUCK), and we went to the Red Cross Hospital nearby. I figured that since I have been having serious problems these last two years that have gotten worse (nausea, dizziness, unable to stand for a long time, etc), and we did three hours of tests! It was expensive, but SO much cheaper than in America, even before the National Insurance, which paid most of it! So I'm quite down on money but up on win with the insurance.. But well, after exhaustive hours, we found: NOTHING wrong with me!! Other than a slightly elevated white blood cell count due to my cold, not a thing! I have very low but healthy blood pressure, low cholesterol, not a single vitamin deficiency (including iron, which I thought was the problem), no diabetes or hyper-glycemia like I'd thought-- not a thing! They took blood and urine tests, x-rayed my chest, and did the thing where they stick suction cups all over your chest and get a cool-looking printout of your heart! Nada. I felt like crap the whole time because I purposefully didn't eat in the morning, hoping whatever it is would show up. Of course, normally this would be great news (yay for healthy body!), but there was not a single thing to cause all of this nausea and fatigue, etc. ToT So now I have to come back a week from Friday to stick a tube down my throat and look inside of my stomach to see if there are any problems inside. I know this sounds bad, but I hope that it's something in there and that it's easy and simple to treat. Because I can get rid of that, and go back to feeling energetic and bouncy and like I can move!! ^O^ I really hope.. Also I might sign up for a 24-hour diagnosis thingie so that I can see why I have so many problems breathing while I run (asthma-ish like thing? I've had that my whole life.. which is why I could never try out for sports. I couldn't run laps). Thank you so much to Scott for helping me out, I don't think that I could have ever done that alone! I'm so worried about going back.

Well, that was this morning.. I'll leave with a few pictures from Melissa's party and before that, and some from a few weeks ago with my friend Lonnie. ^^ And then I'm leaving to see the L Movie! Despite the nausea. ^^;; (I made brownies! They will go well with space kimchee.... ummm, or maybe not but..)

Found on the first floor of the toy store: The Humping Dog! Hours of enjoyable fun..!! ^_^;;;;; Okay, I almost bought one.. (I took a video too so you can see it in action, but for some reason I can't upload anything on youtube right now.. it just times out)

Space Kimchee!!

Melissa really enjoyed her Dippin' Dots!! Me too, but there is no photographic evidence, hahaha!!

The scariest Rei EVER was on display in one of the cases. I mean, seriously... o.o;;

Merry Chrismas C3PO! In February..!!

POPPLES! Melissa went crazy for the Strawberry Shortcake display, and I was instantly drawn to this one! OMG blast from the past here!!! :O

A few weeks ago it was this cold:

It's now still bone-chilling cold, but in the upper 40s and mid 50s during the day. So not quite as freezing, yay! I check the weather forecast every day looking for a forthcoming spring! Where aaaare you, Spring?!?! Why is there no spring yet? ToT

I was experimenting with my litle point and shoot camera. It's  not really hard at all to get nice effects after all. ^^ Lonnie and I were hanging out in the park, so this is the result:

You've seen this one before, but I wanted to post the bigger version. Isn't it cute?!

Yoyogi Park. =D (okay, actually the shrine in Yoyogi park, but same difference!)

I love sunset!

I just watched (or skimmed...) the new American Idol.. Danny ♥ The kid is the best-looking by far this season! Also David and Jason and Michael are pretty interesting. They've got a really big range of talent this year so that will be interesting. I'll be looking forward to the girls performances tomorrow, but it's too bad that most of the episodes are auditions/hollywood are relatively boring. ^^;; Which of the guys do you like so far?

Off to see L:Change the World with a few friends now~ ^_^

I kind of want that USB...and OMG Popples ;o; I remember them!!!! Ah nostalgia~

*hugs* ^___^ In a way, it's really good that nothing was wrong (so far), but it's so frustrating not knowing what the problem is! ToT

"and did the thing where they stick suction cups all over your chest and get a cool-looking printout of your heart!"

ah, that must be ECG (electrocardiogram)

nice looking usb's. I saw the other day, a usb that looks like a real sushi...it looks like a real thing
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 20th, 2008 11:19 pm (UTC)
Yeah, that's it! ^__^ I couldn't remember the name even though my roommate had literally just told me. XD

Yeah, they had the sushi ones too! =D Cool but not nearly as creepy as the dogs! XD

"to stick a tube down my throat and look inside of my stomach to see if there are any problems inside. " - that's an esophagogastroduodenoscopy (esophagus, stomach and duodenum) , a very long ang tongue twisting word isn't it? It will be very uncomfortable, but I hope the results will be negative.

I wish we have those sushi usb here in our country.

Oooh, I really like your icon ;o)

And the picture of your friend jumping up in the air is cool, got so high, huh!

OMG! DIppin' Dots!!! WHERE?!?!?!? I demand to know!! They are my life and soul and I didn't get any this September because I was in Japan, but if there are some in Tokyo. OMG. Must GOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*coughs*

As for AI, I'm actually watching it this season... so far. We'll see how long it lasts though.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 20th, 2008 11:23 pm (UTC)
Hehee! There is a little freezer in Kiddy Land Harajuku that has them. ^__^ It's not fresh obviously, but just as good as I remember! ^^ I'm sure they'll still be there-- they've been there as long as I can remember going to that store! =D If there's anything else that you're looking for, let me know because there is always a chance that I might know where to get it. ^.^ (except Reese's.. it's hopeless)

Dippin' Dots!!! (Mmm, fair food!)

Weirdest thing, 2 days ago we had some odd weather where it was snowing, but with a warm layer of air high up, and then cold again at the ground. So the original snow, would melt slightly as it went through the warm layer way high up, then refreeze but now all rounded little balls, and it was below freezing as usual so they just stayed there on the ground.

Waking up, the weather on the radio was in fact saying that we have "Dippin' Dots this morning" it was hilarious. It did look JUST like that, too...

You take really nice pictures.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 20th, 2008 11:23 pm (UTC)
Fair food? Really? Wow, they were never sold at the fairs that I went to, that's really funny to think. =D

Cool! Did you take pictures of the weather?

Hi Sweetie,
Thank you for all the pictures. I like your natural hair color!
I hope you get the medical stuff figured out. I still have one of your old popples here. Love you lots!! Mom
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 20th, 2008 11:24 pm (UTC)
You're welcome. ^__^

Is it the purple/red one? That one was mine and the white one was Jennifer's!
(Anonymous) on February 22nd, 2008 03:23 pm (UTC)
You have a great memory! I still have both of the popples. The purple one is bigger than the white one. Love you!

I want to see L:Change the World sooooo badly! But I don't know Japanese... so I'm gonna have to wait to see it. I'm kinda hoping it's a bit more down to earth... I LOOOOVVED the first Death Note movie... but wasn't quite as big on the second one...
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 20th, 2008 11:25 pm (UTC)
I think that it's okay to watch even if you don't know Japanese.... I was a big fan of both movies myself. But this one... err, yeah, I'm going to write about it soon and you'll see.

Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 20th, 2008 11:27 pm (UTC)
LOL Aren't they great!!

Yeah, I've seen those dolls before. But they're always creepy to me.. they kind of remind me of Bratz. ^^; (never a good thing!)

I'm actually sad that I'm completely healthy. Because I still feel like utter crap every day. ;_;

WAIT!!! I'm very curious: how relatively cheap was the medical expense. Please enlighten :-)

Also, I don't know much about American Idol, but if you can, vote for Ramiele! She's one of the girls that performed last night. She's my friend from high school :) She can win.

It's Mom again. Just a thought, have you been tested for food allergies?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 22nd, 2008 11:20 pm (UTC)
No, but I don't think that it would really do any good. I don't seem to be allergic to anything (no symptoms from eating a certain food), and if I was allergic I would still eat what I want.
Chiakichiaki777 on February 24th, 2008 11:00 am (UTC)
but why does it hump the computer. XD
chibicerebuschibicerebus on March 11th, 2008 02:44 am (UTC)
LOL humping dogs. Those would make great gag gifts.
I wouldn't mind having one.
Catherineamourwolf on March 11th, 2008 10:33 pm (UTC)
Mmm, dipping dots are tasty.

I had to re-read the whole entry to make sure I wasn't seeing things about the 'Humping dog' XD

Poor CP30! Always forgotten :D

You captured some great moments at Yoyogi park, wonderfully done!

Now, that's what I call a 'snow day'!

Phantom Ailments!
Hi, I just arrived in Tokyo (I live here now). I had the same weird dizziness, nausea and even some heart palpitations and anxiety, but not for quite as long. I think maybe 4 months, and then it passed. I also used to get tired easier going up stairs, and my arms would get tired if I had to lift them above my head for any reason. I thought I was dying, so as a knee-jerk reaction I started doing Qui Gong (Tai Chi), and I felt better almost straight away! Worth a try maybe? ki o tsukete. ne?
