Antm...
Omg.. I was so shocked at the end of the newest antm that I started crying.. Now there really doesn't seem to be any more reason to watch the show. Seriously, that's just wrong. And I was all excited because they're going to Beijing next, which is where I'm going next month. But now, well who cares anymore.. -_-;;

But it's not necessarily a matter of who the audience is going to like. Heather, no doubt, is still going to get jobs and still have her fans, but it's all what the judges think is best. Jenah wasn't going to get eliminated over Heather because, according to the judges, she's also had a lot of strong photos but wasn't on the bottom two twice in a row like Heather was. But Jenah's skating on thin ice.

So it's not the end of Heather's career, no friggin' way. She's just not cut out for ANTM's type of qualifications.

I don't agree on both parts. It often *is* a matter of whom they think that the audience is going to like. Tyra's picked strange girls over and over again, and just as she said, it's so that people at 'home' will feel that they are like them. She's mentioned personality a million times at home and how people are going to be watching them and judging them. Then often girls who are way better than the competition end up going home with very weak reasons, which is just the judges trying to justify picking those people they think will be most liked.

It's not the end of Heather's career at all (if she chooses to continue to pursue modelling), no. But I disagree 100% that Jenna wasn't eliminated because she wasn't in the bottom 2 twice in a row. There are girls who've been in the bottom 2 several times in a row and still gone on to win the entire competition. Heather had the stronger portfolio, the better and more marketable look, and was not a huge ass like Jenna. Who knows why they kicked her off, but I don't believe for a moment that it was because she wasn't as good.

Ah well. We'll just have to agree to disagree. :3

I'm pretty sure Naima was kept as long as she was on S4 because of the audience, not the judges. It took awhile for her to really make an impression on them, but I think she one CG of the week like...every week.

As far as Heather goes, I wonder if the consideration might have been runway. Aside from Caridee's slightly crazy performance in Cycle 7, we've never seen a model trip and fall or anything majorly bad in the final runway, despite the fact that there's usually only one runway week near the beginning of the cycle. I think among other considerations they try to weed out models that weren't runway ready. I think that might have been hard for Heather because of her asperger's/eye contact problem and because she's a little less graceful than some of the other girls.

...I also think that sometimes the decisions are a little arbitrary. They don't want the audience to start guessing every week who's going home or they'd all be bored.
