Omg.. I was so shocked at the end of the newest antm that I started crying.. Now there really doesn't seem to be any more reason to watch the show. Seriously, that's just wrong. And I was all excited because they're going to Beijing next, which is where I'm going next month. But now, well who cares anymore.. -_-;;
Current Mood: upset

Yeah, I was really nervous when I read that China has a really high smoking rate and "it's perfectly acceptible to light up at the dinner table" (a direct quote from my travel guide). Gah I hate smoke with a really intense passion, I'm going to DIE in that country. It's hard to see those skyscrapers and realize how backwards that country still is. Gah, please modernize and ban smoking already! >.

Yeah, but that was an olden-day's modern. Now's modern is to ban smoking in all public establishments, as the US has done. Even Japan, which is TERRIBLE at smoking laws bans it on some streets. (Of course they don't enforce it, but the intent is at least slightly there)

Yeah, I've heard some pretty scary things about China. I'm trying not to let it get me down, though. Or at least, not get too scared! ^^;

Hey, you haven't ever had dog by any chance, have you? I'm trying to decide whether I want to try it or not... >.>;;;;

LOL yeah, I heard that they love foreigners because they can charge them 4x the price. XD;; I'll have to study that chinese even harder now!! 我将尝试我最佳! (Okay, I put that into babelfish but still..) XD

I have the same philosophy as you. The problem is figuring out if I'm too opposed to it to take it or not! ^^;;;;;

I had a dog, even though I knew that I'm a cat person more than a dog person. It was hard for me to accept how utterly depended a dog can be, making me blame myself whenever I could not or would not take it out for a walk or play with it.

A dog is a huge time investment. A cat is really minimal in that regard. Remember, If you "try" a dog, you will have to keep it to 10-20 years depending on how long it lives. Do you have some friends that would leave their dog with you during a vacation? It might be a better way to "try" it out first. Be sure to be on a normal work schedule so you can see how a dog would fit into it.

Oh, no! XDXD I've had a dog as a pet before, many in fact. ^^ I can't have one here, I don't have the space and I really only like big dogs. I asked "have you ever had dog?", as in "have you ever eaten dog?" XD

Oh :) That's something my mind didn't think about of course :) There's a street in Hong Kong were they sell cats and dogs to you and prepare them for you right away too. I didn't dare to go there. There's also a tradition to eat dogs somewhere in Switzerland. I'd think they are probably quite tasty, but I'd rather eat a dog then a cat :) But then I'll hopefully never have to eat either.
