Switch wo Osu Toki version 2! AKA: The Most Depressing Play Ever!
Rong roooooooong weekend. Or rather, short weekend? LOL, I'm not sure! Sarah came over to stay the weekend on Saturday morning, and I was busy having fun with her, so the weekend just kind of whizzed by! We went out to explore Kichijoji a little bit and then we went to the new version of Switch wo Osu Toki. Sorry if I've been bad about replying to comments. I still love you, but I've been really busy (and it's not going to let up much until late next week, I think!). I've been feeling more and more motivated, bit by bit, and so I'm not sure how much time I'm going to be able to spend on the internet.. But it's for the better!

About Switch.. I wrote a looooooong post about the play a year and a half ago, when I saw it for the first time. This time, I understood at least 95%, and as such... it was so, so much more depressing. That play really makes you think about life. There was a new girl character who was pretty much useless, but otherwise the story was the same as last time, so please read my old post here to read about why I think this is one of the best plays ever made. Some of the cast members were changed this time, some were the same. I have to say, I HATED Minami-kun (Nagayan's character) until about halfway through. What ultimate scum!! But then I felt sorry for him, and ended up pitying him in the end. Absolutely brilliant!! It makes me really want to continue with the book! (My kanji sucks!! <--just had to add that) And continue I will, in what free time I have that's not taken up with the amazing book, A Game of Thrones. (yay for english books! XD)

The play made us sad, so we cured it with chocolate and paying homage to the Red Bull god! This actually means going to my favorite restaurant in the area, the Peppermint Cafe in Kichijoji. I would go there all the time if I had the money, and if they offered non-smoking seats! But without them it's a sometimes-only place. It's too bad how many restaurant experiences are ruined by someone smoking! Luckily nobody lit up in the small place, so it was a fun night playing word-games. =D

And now to try and catch up on sleep! (actually, reading...) I'm trying to grab rest while I can, so that I can keep fighting this really bad cold! It's gotten a lot better, but it's a long battle! *brandishes sword*

**Busy busy!**
Current Music: Digimon Sonic the Hedgehog - Run Around

I have to go lolwhut? to both your song choice and GAME OF THRONES. YAY. Tell me what you think!

LOL about the song.. (Digimon is supposed to be stricken through, but it doesn't show up for some reason). I saw a Sonic the Hedgehog music video with this song that was just absolutely amazing, and it was the first time I'd heard the song, so I completely think of it as a Sonic song, lol. :D

I'm only about 1/4 through it... but I will definitely tell you what I think when I finish! I can't get enough of that book, I know I'm going to run out and buy the next volume as soon as I'm finished! OMG it's so good!! (I HATEHATEHATE Ned for killing Lady! GRRRRRR! Who cares what the stupid queen says? GRRRR. And I can't stand Sansa or Joff either, but I really love her sister and Nymeria! I hope that Nymeria runs far away from the hunters!) Ooooh I wonder what will happen next!

I wonder if someone is going to put up the new version of Switch. I want to compare the old with the new. I loved the old play. It made me depressed after I watched it, but I still liked it.

Man, that waffle looks good.

Ah! I'm busy too since I haven't been posting entries. Gah. Must study! Although, I really want to see Switch...whenever I go to Japan. It sounds like an interesting play. ah! :) MUST STUDY! BOO!

This should kill any remaining sadness:

I just started watching Amazing Race 12 (I've never seen a whole one before because I never caught a starting episode). One of the teams...married ministers...LESBIAN married ministers. Boo-ya!

Lets see how the general viewership of The Amazing Race deals with this. =D

Oh man, I finally just watched the episode (been so busy recently!!)! It was amazing! I remember why this is my alltime favorite show (and why I keep writing them asking to change the rules so that I can apply. ;_; They stopped writing me back, wahh)

I was excited to see the lesbian couple, but I didn't realize that they'd also be the token old couple. Too bad, because I can't really relate to them like I'd hoped. It's also too bad that they kind of faded into the background, though, and don't seem nearly as interesting as some of their previous 'old couples' (there's at least one team every season). They had a lesbian before on the show, but never a couple (it was a cute lesbian girl and her dad). Some of the racers I can barely remember, and others I already have strong opinions about. I'm really glad that the losers were the ones to go, because the guy's voice was really getting on my nerves, and the girl was so mean to the donkey!! ;_; The goth couple is an interesting inclusion.. I really want to see more of them just because they're not normal... okay, mainly because I want to see them forced to not wear their makeup at some later time. =D;; I think the kid and his grandpa are pretty funny, I hope they stay for a while. They remind me of a past couple, a LOT (though in this case it was a boy and his mother).

I can't STAND the team that came in first, though. I really liked them in their intro, until they said that they were smarter than everyone else. GEH. People who are full of themselves need to be brought down a notch or two. I really hope they become more personable and learn that there are actually other people smarter than them on the teams, regardless of their jobs (I mean, they can't even follow directions, I was laughing at that). I also don't like the identical blonde friends. Yuck. It's another barbie doll team, the same as on season 10 (?) and All-stars. I really wish they'd stop putting them on there, when it's just obviously to get men to watch, when the other girl-team (those two sisters with the dark curly hair) are much hotter and much more personable.

Haha, sorry for the rant! =D This show always works me up because I'm so jealous! I really, REALLY want to be on that show! Almost enough that I would move back to America just to apply (you have to live currently in the US and be a US citizen for some reason. I understand the citizen part, but it shouldn't matter where you live as long as you're willing to fly in for an interview, I think! And I definitely would). I need to find my perfect partner for when I do apply though, and I hope to death that they're still running the show when I can! I plan to win!!!!

Re: random randomness
Yep! I live in the area, so when I need to go somewhere to hang out, I often walk over to the areas around the station. ^^
