The Bridge to Terabithia.....
The Bridge to Terabithia. I remember reading this book so many times when I was younger. I used to check it out constantly from the school library. I don't know how many times it had my name written on the card in the pocket inside the cover in my junior high-school's library. But I loved it.. maybe that's a little bit of the reason that I am the dreamer that I am.

Well, I watched the movie this morning. It made me start bawling.. I can only barely remember the book now, so that's why I was completely shocked, and I couldn't stop crying. I really, really identify with Leslie. To put a long story short, it's my greatest dream to find someone with whom I can truly share the things that Leslie shared with Jesse. Girl or boy it doesn't matter, because they will be my soulmate. ♥

I really, really have to buy this movie on DVD sometime. There is so much of me in that Leslie.. ♥

Well, in other news.... the typhoon was pretty disappointing. It's really nice out now, and I haven't seen any real damage nor did I hear anything overly scary last night in the night. So, boo on typhoon. All of the typhoons this year have been like that. ;_; And my hands: I'll get my stitches taken out in a week... it's REALLY hard doing things without getting my hands wet, and it'll be even harder when work starts next week. Yeeps! At least it doesn't hurt too much (only when I stretch it too far or hit it or something). I'm able to change the bandages myself too... which means that while I'm off searching for my Terabithia today, I'll have to pick some up at the store. ^-^

I heard a bunch of things get knocked over in my area, and i had a leak in my room near the door from the rain.. and my doors/windows were shaking pretty hard for parts of the night. o.o

I hope your hands heal soon~ <3

I remember reading "The Bridge to Terabithia" in elementary school myself. I cried and cried. I was actually surprised to read reports of people around here who went to the movie and were shocked that it was sad, they had no idea of the story and thought it would only be a fantasy world thing. I've not seen the movie myself, but I thought the book was fairly common reading in elementary school.

But that and "Where the Red Fern Grows" are definitely up there in books that will just make me cry. Boy do they ever.

I like Katherine Patterson's book "Jacob Have I Loved" also.

Awww the kitty...

Ahem. I remember having a favourite book when I was about 8 or 9, it was about two girls and their day-to-day adventures. I loved it so much, I would borrow it from the school library every two weeks. I didn't even do my homework to read it..

I do wonder how you manage to do anything with your hands like that..I think I'd break everything in my way. XD I hope you'll be better after you get your stitches taken out. :3

You need to come down here. We got freakish rain and heat and then the wind was just incredible. *nodnod* Thankfully, it all cleared up this morning. :D I really didn't want to walk to work in it.

Anyway, it looks like I will be coming up to Tokyo for the weekend of November 3-November 5th (Sat to Mon). And I'll take you up on your offer for shelter (if the offer still stands). :)

Ooooo. What day would you be going? On the 3rd or the 4th? If you go on the 3rd, I'd definitely go with. If you go on the 4th, I don't think I'd be able to make it... I'm assuming that the play is going to be 3 hours... And depending where it is... I may or may not make it to the Kime concert on time. If they were close enough, and the play wasn't that long, I'd totally go on the 4th. It depends.

But its like I might as well go since I'll be there anyway. Make a whole weekend of it!

I stumbled across your journal earlier today,
And fell in love with your posts.
They remind me so much of the time i was in Japan.
I used to live in Kamagaya, Chiba. Until October there.
Had to move back to Northern Ireland, UK - :(
But i'm coming back out in April/May time to live
in Sendagaya/Harajuku. ^^
Anyway; I've been reading through your journal all day.
