Nessie ate my hand!!!
Okay, it's not true. Ooh my hands hurt, and they're wrapped in oh-so-awesome gauze! I also have some pretty awesome stitches in my left hand. I feel like a 7yr old boy because after the fact I was all like, "LOOK AT MY COOL BATTLE WRAPPINGS!!" My battle with the dishes, where I came out the victor. My hands will heal. The glass, sadly, will not.

What happened was simple.. I was washing a glass and I had one hand inside with the sponge and the other holding it. Suddenly I felt something give way and my hand was spurting blood! It turns out that the cheap 100yen glass had broken while I was washing it! The hand inside was slashed completely open and a chunk was torn out of the other's thumb. It didn't hurt right away, it was more of a shock. While I was shouting OMG, Mami helped me find something to wrap it in and talk me calm. I got REALLY dizzy and ended up throwing up/laying on the bathroom floor forever. Lost so much blood that I lost hearing for a while too.. >.>;; Eventually I got strong enough to eat and asked Valentin to help me go to the hospital. My first time at the hospital ever since I was a child, and my first time getting stitches. It huuuuuuuuurt (still does), but at least the worst part's over. My sliced-open hand will heal nicely, I hope. ^^

IN OTHER NEWS, I've been filling up life recently. ^_^ On Sunday, Mippa came over and we worked on arts and had fun. I made brownies (yumm!!) and then we went to my favorite Kichijoji restaurant, Peppermint Cafe. Where for the first time, I tried a mojito! It's a drink with rum, lime, sugar cane, club soda, and mint, and it's DELICIOUS. All of my friends that can drink, I highly recommend this cocktail!!

Then on Monday, I dragged Chelsea out to see my friend Hikaru's new play, A Sleepless Night's Stray Dog Elegy. This time, the story is a gangster love story, and it was SO GOOD!! I had a hard time following all of the dialogue because gangster speak is just crazy weird, but it was a fun challenge. ^-^ The acting was superb, the parts were well-written, and it was just.. *dies* I am SO impressed. =^__^= Afterwards, we went out with Hikaru&friends and drank and had general fun times until last train. Gah, I love everyone involved in this group, let me tell you. *^^* Nicest people in the world! I was having such a great time and so intent on being proficient in japanese, that I forgot to take pictures. ^^;; Everyone noticed that I'd cut my hair, lol. (Just the bangs, look how long they are in that picture, lol. Way too long!)

Soo today, injury injury... I've been holed up in my room eating crappy ready-made food because I can't cook with my hands wrapped up. I've also been watching movies and anime because I can't hold a pencil (T_T). The Messengers was an awesome movie, though I was disappointed in the movie. I had flashbacks from The Birds, though. 1408 was pretty good, I highly recommend to horror-lovers. ^_^ Oceans 13 was complete crap, which was pretty disappointing. Also catched up on Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei and watched a little bit more of Code Geass. I like Geass a lot, and am trying to figure out who is my favorite character. Who do you think that I'd like??

And Zetsubou-sensei is just GOLD. It's easily the most hilarious thing I've seen in years.

Death Note parody. I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes.

A HILARIOUS scene with the illegal immigrant girl. No offense to Lolita friends, but you have to admit, this is SO true.... XDXDXD LOL That lady who sued McDonalds is even parodied in an anime. I'm dying! XDXD;; And I love how the returnee is always threatening to sue everyone. XD;; America ftw!! XD;;

LOL and the teacher's reaction to a student returning from overseas. It was hilarious. LOL and too true to life. XDXD;; I love the returnee girl!! XD;;

LOL and this made me think of Ron. XD;;;
Current Mood: bouncy and in pain XD;;

Mm... mojitos are good. I've only had the version from the mix, not a real one. Sorry to hear about your hand. Looks like it really hurt. And I must find someplace to watch Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei. It looks hilarious!

Oh man, I am terrified of needles, so I was about to cry when they gave me the local for the stitches. It was almost more scary than the cuts themselves. ToT I ended up going to the same local hospital that Ami goes to, though. My doctor was so nice!!! But it cost me 1man, which will be refunded when I get my insurance card in the mail. I hope it comes soon!! Because tomorrow will be another 1man when I go in to have more antiseptic and cleaning on my right hand. X.x;; I forgot to ask them if I can get them wet, though... (I did get chocolate on the bandages already though, lol)

3M tape, really? Wow, I'm going to have to give that a try! I'm looking forward to the scars (interesting story to tell, you know? Well, it will be when I make up an interesting story to go along with it, lol) but I definitely would rather that they're not too prominent. I'm going to give it a shot!!

Oh, ouch... That does look like it hurt. I'm glad you're okay and that you were smart enough to go to the hospital... I know people who would probably just ignore it and hope it gets better on its own but it's always better to get professional help.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 4th, 2007 03:18 pm (UTC)
Well, my first thought was to deal with it on my own, but I really thought that a gash as open as this one would need stitches and disinfectant... so off I went. It was really odd, but I've been meaning to go to the doctor in any case, and at least this way I know where it is. XD;

Oh wow.. I hope your hands heal pretty fast. I have never gotten stitches, but I bet that hurt a lot!

Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 5th, 2007 01:49 pm (UTC)
It was my first time getting stitches. Since I'm really afraid of needles, it was really scary. The nurses laughed at me. But I'm glad that it's all over with! Well, the stitching-up part at least...

I accidently stood a broken glass the other day OUCH. Glass cuts really hurt don't they, it's like a stinging OW. Luckily my cut was just a couple of centimeters long and not very deep so it healed quickly.

They really shouldn't sell glasses that break so easily, they definitely shouldn't break from being washed :o(

But LOL I like having cool battle wrappings too xD

Hope your cuts heal quickly! <3
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 5th, 2007 01:50 pm (UTC)
OMG are you alright? Yeah, it hurts a LOT!! It's not the first time that I've hurt myself with broken glass, but it's definitely the first time that it's been so bad... ;_;
Carmencarmeneko on September 4th, 2007 03:41 pm (UTC)
ouch >< I hope your hand heals quickly!! ahh I didn't think glass would break so easily @_@
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 5th, 2007 01:51 pm (UTC)
I wouldn't either.. and it's not the first time that glasses from the 100 yen shop have broken this way either. I'm not going to buy those types of glasses anymore..

Ouch! I hope your hands heal quickly. T___T I've hand my hand cut open when I was washing a glass once too, between the ring and little finger. It was so awkward trying to use my hand afterwards.

I've never heard of Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei, but it looks hilarious. :">
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 5th, 2007 01:52 pm (UTC)
Ow, that sounds painful...

You should definitely watch it!! It's so hilarious, I can't recommend it enough!

Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 5th, 2007 01:52 pm (UTC)
LOL I just bought all the stuff to make them today, I loved them so much!! But I can't make one until my hands heal. ^^;;

eeep! Glass is so scary like that! I hope you heal up quickly~~ And if anything, cocoa butter is good at reducing scarring asides making your skin super-duper soft. XD;
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 5th, 2007 01:52 pm (UTC)
Cocoa butter? Thanks, I'll give that a try! ^^
