Couples make out in the park ・ Wash your bottom???
かき氷が欲しいなぁ~~~! 君達も? 皆はいかがですか?

It was great fun going with Eda and Erin to Yoyogi park today and chilling. We drew, played with my large yellow ball (Erin sucks at keep away, btw), ate picnic, and watched people pretend that they weren't getting off on people watching them nearly make out in a public park. It was much fun!!

See, my thought is that if you don't want someone to stare at you nuzzling your girlfriend's neck and being pushed down and mounted by her, or by *discreetly* (lol as discreet as the guy I saw with his hand up his(?) girl's shirt squeezing her boobs next to the ticket gates in Shinjuku station) hugging  your guy's body to yours and pinning it against a tree, then you wouldn't be doing it in a public park, ne? I looooove people-watching. I might have gotten this from my mother, but really, I think that people are so interesting. Everyone is different!! Though apparently, today it wasn't so true as we were on the edge of a big open space and people were doing the above... I made a point to stare at them, just to see how long it would take them to get uncomfortable and move to a love hotel or something. XD;; Fun fun. =D Anyways, back to the issue at hand, people watching. I really love to look at the people around me and wonder what they're like. What their clothes and attitude says about them, or what it might not. It's a lot of fun, and I think that I always learn something about the world, somehow. ^^

Lol by the way, anyone who thinks that japanese people are conservative and don't like PDAs, hasn't lived in Tokyo. I've seen almost everything,  just ask me if I've seen it and chances are that I have.

I didn't take many photos, but there are some other funny ones in here:

It's the 3th Anniversary of something. 何番目ですか?

LOL I now know how to write "F*CK F*CK F*CKING XX" in katakana. I couldn't stop laughing when I read this this morning in volume 3 of the Air Gear manga. Anybody know if it was left in in the official english version?

Krispy Kreme opened MORE THAN HALF A YEAR AGO. And yet on a late weeknight, the wait is still:

Crazy. They're just doughnust, people. DOUGHNUTS. I want one of the cherry ones that they advertise outside, but no way am I EVER going to stand in a line more than 10 minutes for a freakin' doughnut. Not a Krispy Kreme one. They're not even that great.......... Erin said she saw the time advertised as more than 3 hours during some times last week (it was mostly holidays so more people to waste their time waiting for doughnuts....) By the way, there are a billion other doughnut stores in the area, same prices. It's just that... actually I have no idea why people are willing to wait. They're probably the same people who bought lambs and thought they were poodles recently.........>.>;;

This is one of the offending couple, after they toned it down. I don't know why I took a picture, but for some reason I thought they looked sweet. They were obviously craving things not appropriate for a park filled with children though, if judged on their display a little bit before. I really like this picture though.. This is in yoyogi park, by the way.

Some guys next to us were practicing juggling nearly the entire time that we were there. That's actually why I picked this spot, because I thought they were fun to watch. Some of them were really good, others weren't. I wish that I could juggle, but my juggling talent = 0. I tried to take some good pictures, but they're kind of meh... Oh well!

These korean-japanese little girls (they kept mixing the languages. I'm so very jealous!) were practicing some kind of really cool dance. I wish that I could dance! Maybe I will take lessons sometime, it would be a lot of fun to learn..

LOL I saw this in the casino in Odaiba a few weeks ago. Sorry it's bad quality, but I took it with my cell phone camera. I thought the machine was too cute though, since it's Maison Ikkoku!!! They played videos from it too. Ahhh if only I knew anything about gambling! Btw, they're making a drama out of this most awesome manga/anime. I can't wait, I hope that it's as good as the manga!! (Though I think a Ranma 1/2 drama would be better. Harder to make, but hilarious if they pull it off well... or even badly. XD;;)

Japanese toilets are very complicated, so there are instructions on the wall in 5 languages, including braille. =D Thank you!!

Hey, that makes me randomly wonder... Is there anyone who can read braille reading this? If so, do you know if japanese braille and english braille are the same? I heard that sign language is different, so I wonder if braille is too..

I kept this photo big enough to read the little text. Hilarious!! I can't see using a bidet in a public restroom.. (or ever, really. EWW) That water from the dirty toilet is never going to touch my bottom! I get squeamish when something... splashes and hits you. EWWW EWW EWW.

Btw, I just learned what a goatse is from Athy. I wonder if I was the last one to know. Maybe it was better that way. Eda and Erin told me to stay away from tubgirl though.. Oh man, I don't want to look it up but I'm so afraid that I won't be able to resist and I will scar myself again. Like the time in Phoenix that I insisted on looking at an email that Ben had said made him throw up. Attached was a picture of a guy that had put a firecracker in his mouth when he was drunk and it exploded. If you want to know what a concave hole of a face looks like, look it up. Courtesy of his drunk friend who thought that it looked cool and took a closeup picture. I heard that the guy survived, though I can't see how. I'd seen tons of horror movies so I seriously thought that there was no way that looking at a picture could make me physically ill. Needless to say, I was wrong.... ;_; Of course I never learn my lesson because months later everyone in anime club was talking about how gross rotten-dot-com was and I thought... 'hey, whatever, it can't be that bad, right?' Oh god. I can still vividly remember seeing a guy who had lain across train tracks and...... Omigod, why can't I learn that some things are better just left unseen? I am horrible to my sanity sometimes.. ;___; Please, don't let me look up tubgirl!!!! I want to live in the happy land of rainbows and unicorns pleeeeeease!!!

Oh man, this week dragged by with TONS of work and me being completely worn out most of the time. Then Saturday raced by. Woe is me, what happened to the weekend? I should call my mom when I wake up in the moming. Happy Mother's Day!!って

By the way, I found out that one of my favorite mangas, LIFE is becoming a drama! I'm so excited, but a little anxious. Hopefully the acting will be good, but I don't have a lot of faith in the look of the characters in Japanese dramas being true to the manga. I'm sorry but as an artist it seriously pisses me off when they won't make the characters hair color&style at least right. They should be required to dye their hair, that's just the way that it works. And yes, this is important. I'm still mad at them for not making Tsukushi's hair in HYD brown like it should be. x.x Same with the stupid actress who refused to bleach her hair for Misamisa in Death Note. They should have replaced her, because there are tons of girls who would have done a better job and look the part. Same for Hachi in both Nana movies. Imagine if Nana had had long wavy hair or Junko had had blonde hair and see what I mean. Why didn't they do Hachi's right? Why ignore my favorite character? I just don't get it. If they're not willing to change their hair then they don't deserve the part, period. Seriously.

LOL on that note, I'm going to call it a night. ^__^ Oyasumi!!

Lol by the way, anyone who thinks that japanese people are conservative and don't like PDAs, hasn't lived in Tokyo. I've seen almost everything, just ask me if I've seen it and chances are that I have.

I've heard other people say the exact same thing. XD People are always saying how the Japanese aren't too outgoing with their sexuality and then I hear about girls giving boys blowjobs in the light of day..
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 12th, 2007 04:01 pm (UTC)
Now that is one thing that I thankfully haven't seen, but I totally believe them. I've seen naked body parts, copious makeout sessions, groping, mounting, usually in busy train stations in the late afternoon. Couples love to do this right where people can see them, it's interesting...

Glad you had a great time today! Is the Air Gear manga any good?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 12th, 2007 04:05 pm (UTC)
Iiii ne! I'm so going to buy a machine and make them for my birthday party this summer. <3

Yeah, I like the manga quite a bit. It's got a LOT of fanservice for both genders. It's pretty macho and Ikki isn't really a very nice or smart hero I think, but if you can ignore that it's pretty good on its own. Of course I mainly read for the constantly naked girls, but... ^^; I recommend giving it a try! I can loan you the first couple books if you want to give it a shot.

I love to watch other people as well XDDD It´s fun! Whereas I don´t like being watched XD

*lol* @ the fuck(ing) XD What´s a "garasu" ? Is that a character in the manga? (I know karasu though~)
I envy English speaking people when it comes to katakana, because there are MOSTLY English loanwords. I think I wouldn´t have recognized the "fuck" right away, but of course you DO when your a English native speaker I guess (^^;)
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 12th, 2007 04:18 pm (UTC)
The main character in the manga has a crow that nests in his hair, so they usually call him Karasu when someone's pissed at him. I'm guessing that this is just modifying that in anger (rather than meaning "glass" which is the other meaning to this katakana). They use all kinds of weird modified words and verbs that I've never head in this manga, and tons of random meaningless english, so it's kind of hard to read sometimes!

I'd bet there are. In fact, I'm 100% sure that there are, especially in the rush hours. I've never seen that, but I've seen a guy walking along the street in broad daylight and masturbating with his penis in his hand. He waggled it at me when I passed and I was so frightened that I was shaking when I got to work! I was really new to Japan and wanted to call the police on him but didn't know how. ;__; I hope that he got in trouble!

Oh I KNOW. Japanese toilets can be so awesome. It never ceases to amaze me though, how in the same room there will sometimes be toilets of wonder like this, and in the next stall, a squat toilet. x.x

Hmm, Life sounds interesting. I might end up picking that series up. Not that I already have a lot of series I am reading and my parents think it is a waste of money. ._. Let's see: Prince of Tennis, Hikaru no Go, Kaze Hikaru, Loveless, Hunter x Hunter, Fruits Basket, Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok, and Densha Otoko. I do have the first volume to Yakitatte Japan!, but I am not sure if I am going to continue collecting that series or not... I am also considering starting to collect Backstage Prince.

Besides that, Japan sounds as fun as ever. Man, I wish I could go to that park and watch people like you did. I also enjoy watching people and their reactions to certain issues.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 13th, 2007 09:49 am (UTC)
I highly highly highly recommend it!! It's one of my current favorite mangas, I always wait in huge anticipation of when the next volume comes out. <3<3 15 just came out and 16 doesn't come out until September, so I'm going to go crazy waiting!!

You should definitely continue Yakitate Japan!! I haven't read the manga (too expensive here to buy the english ones and the japanese are full of so many puns I probably won't understand) but I really LOVE the anime!

I never thought japanese people are conservative at all...but the guys are like extremely shy when it comes to talking to females which is always funny to watch.

I was watching a documentary on Japan's sex life, its pretty bad that they are only doing it for fun, because their population desperatly needs more babies so their economy doesnt like crash. It was funny because you had 100 year old couple complaining about the 85 yr old couple who didnt want to have kids calling them immature...when your 100 you can talk down to anyone haha.

The problem is that suburban kids move out to the city the moment they can. Then they see kids as a major expense so dont want to have any.

LOL I the longest I will wait for a crappy doughnut is like 5mins...and thats if I am in a good mood

That bother me to NO end that Misa Misa had black hair....ITS BLONDE

Japanese Toliets...if you really gotta pee...good luck trying too XD
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 12th, 2007 11:26 pm (UTC)
LOL Yeah they should have signs on how to pee too.... that would be great!! I should take a picture of the signs that they use in the elementary school bathrooms that tell you how to squat in a squat toilet. But it's too scary..

I've been reading a lot recently about how japanese people are the most dissatisfied in the world sexually. That's so sad, but seeing a lot of the people I can see why.

Did you ever go the Krispy Kreme out in Issaquah? I'm not sure how far it is from Aberdeen, but a lot of people from Seattle would make trips out there and wait a couple of hours to get doughnuts for long while after it opened. When they opened one in Seattle they had all of these fences, and cops like they were prepared for a mob, but no one showed up! XD
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 12th, 2007 11:26 pm (UTC)
Nope, but lol that is insane!!! Actually the first time that I heard of Krispy Kreme was when I lived in Phoenix and there were tons of them there. Of course I didn't have to wait at all the few times that I went. But I don't understand the appeal, because I thought their doughnuts were pretty much normal. If nothing else, they had a worse selection than the grocery store near my house did..

Here is the manga in English.

I didn't think tubgirl.com was THAT bad...it sounds to me like you've already seen worse, so if you're curious about it...then go for it.

Thank you Val!! *hugs* That's so hilarious, I'm really glad that they left it in!! Wish I could afford the english ones becqause I do end up missing a lot of what's going on when I'm too lazy to look up the japanese words, lol.

Oh my.... now that you've said it I'm not going to be able to resist looking her up!! :x

Nobuta wo Produce

Based on what you've seen, I think that you'd probably like them all. ^__^ If any more come to mind I'll let you know. ^^

Oh man, Japanese toilets. I love those, everyone I know who went to Japan comes back saying the toilets are awesome XD I always found it amusing they had the music/gurgling water sound option to mask noises. I will never understand the Japanese, their women think toileting sounds are too embarrassing to be heard, but their porn/hentai industry has the weirdest, sometimes downright depraved shit XD
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 12th, 2007 11:34 pm (UTC)
Oh lol I know. It's like these women think that they're the only ones who tinkle. I've seen the crappiest of dirty squat toilet bathrooms equipped with those noise things, which are automatic when you come in the stall. I won't say that they're bad, they're actually kind of convenient because it can get a little embarrassing if you're number 2 or anything, but I don't think that it's really so big a deal as to actually need the sound.

Heh. Tubgirl is gross, but not gory - someone having, shall we say, the liquishits, butt pointed straight up so it goes everywhere (which is presumably why she's in the tub).

I stay away from the グロ sites on the web, but had one mishap at work - there is a program I needed to install, which happens to be named "cadaver" (it's a pun on DAV, "distributed authoring and versioning", which is an extension to the HTTP protocol that allows you to WRITE websites remotely, so people can all collaborate on some big site). Web design people use Dreamweaver, but for my back-end only command line self, I just needed the UNIX command line tool to move some existing files around on the remote site, so, cadaver it is. Works great.

Problem is, there's a way that most open source unix packages make a URL for their site, and I didn't bother googling, I just guessed the URL with the usual pattern, and well, no, that wasn't it. That URL had been... taken by someone else. It was a site with the most vile, well, cadavers, AND, unlike most of the well-known グロ places like rotten and whatever, had them right there on the front page, none of the friendly "this site is gross, if you don't wanna see extremely disturbing stuff, click away now" splash page. AND, because I wasn't expecting it, I really wasn't ready, I swear, I almost hurled right there at my desk. Never. Again.

In other topics, I grew up with squat toilets, I'm amazed at recent toilet technology. However, I don't know how I feel about braille in a toilet :)
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 13th, 2007 09:52 am (UTC)
Ewww I saw it. Tubgirl looks fake, actually...

LOL braille in a toilet is cool I think. It's nice to see something for blind people too, though of course I'm not sure how they would know that there is something on the wall for them to read if they can't see it..
くらやみひみつ: Tonkkurayamihimitsu on May 13th, 2007 12:33 am (UTC)
according to my school text book, japanese braille is different.. It was written for kana, instead of english characters.. ^^

...and for your sanity's sake, DON'T look up tubgirl... i saw it once... >< gah...
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 13th, 2007 09:53 am (UTC)

People-watching IS really fun, I think! Actually, I thought that picture of those two people lying down was related to the "How to wash your bottom" thing. DDD: *kicked*

Tubgirl isn't BAD, unless you're easily disturbed. And if you find poo icky. XD;; And I refuse to look at rotten.com. X__X;;; It's one thing I'm too afraid to look at. Jeez, people are disgusting.

Oh, there's this toilet commercial that comes on at around 7 PM over here and it's about this toilet that sprays water up you poo-chute to "clean/sanitize it." Sorry, tmi, but people are usually eating around 7, so... XDD

Erika Toda in Desuno? Ugh, I don't really like her. x_x
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on May 13th, 2007 09:54 am (UTC)
Eww poo is really icky. But tubgirl is so fake-looking that it's almost funny.

That toilet that you describe is a bidet. This particular toilet (which was in a shopping mall) had the same function.
