Peki-peki ☆☆
Obviously it's really windy today, because the last of the neighborhood's sakura petals are raining down on my balcony like snow.

YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM~~~~ I made onigiri for breakfast today. It's the first time that I've ever made onigiri, but I used the rice left over from last night's curry, and made it from things that I had at home. Salmon-flakes, salt, rice (of course), and kimchi-flavored nori. Mmm mmm mmm, that was really yummy. ^^ I guess that I'm turning japanese ♪♪I really think so♪♪ And it goes really well with my favorite drink right now, rose water. Mmmm, oishiiiii yummyyyy <3

I took some pictures in Shinjuku last night.

Which is your favorite? (I always ask that, but I really do like to know. ^^)

Vending machines are EVERYWHERE. It's so convenient.

A restaurant on a street in Shinjuku.

Typical menu style. In Japan, a lot of a restaurant's best dishes are displayed in elaborate window displays. It's kind of neat. ^^

Colored lamps like this are used for a lot of small shops here. Usually Takoyaki, Ramen, Udon, and other 'fast' foods.

I hate that they are, but cigarettes are sold in vending machines here. So is alcohol. And porn. And used underwear. So much for minors not having access, ne?

AHAHAHAHAAAA!! I have walked by this sign 232545646x times, but never noticed what it SAYS!! ROFLOL *dead* So what do you think this shop... does? XD;;

These fire hydrant signs are really pretty and really common.

One of my favorite places is advertised on this sign <3

That's all for now! ^^ I've been having really, really weird dreams recently! ^_^;; It's actually pretty normal for me, and I used to keep a dream journal about them. I should buy one and start it up again, because this stuff is really interesting! By the way, I recently read this book and I SO recommend it for people who love to read about strange things. I'm currently reading volume 2 and it's just as hilarious!

Uwaaa, I wanna eat onigiri too! Does it taste as good as everyone says?? :D

It depends on what kind you get. I'm not hugely fond of rice, so I'm not a huge onigiri fan. But sometimes it's really good, and it's kind of turning into a comfort food. ^^ I like salmon onigiri and things like that, but umeboshi and tuna-mayo onigiri.... ewwwwwwwww.

Home Cocking? A place for good ol' fashioned cock fights, of course. *nod nod* Just like the ones Mom would set up.

I like the drinks vending machine pic. ^^

That looks.... Soooooooooooo yummy.... =O~~~~ I seriously need to learn how to make onigiri, 'cause there's absolutely no place here to buy them. .~_~

And I find myself wanting to go to Me Room for... whatever it is they have. XD
Chiakichiaki777 on April 13th, 2007 06:48 am (UTC)
You hadn't made onigiri before? O.O

Well glad you got to make one then XD

Home cocking eh? Does that mean cookies are cockies? Hmmm, interesting. Rose water sounds good. I had rose ice cream at the Aichi World Expo, and it was good. Pictures make me really wanna go back. I miss the vending machines that are everywhere. I can't wait to get my application sent in for the JET program. I don't want to wait till September, I wanna do it now!!! Oh well, I guess I shall wait until then, I have started on my essay though.

My fav picture is that with the food on it of course ! *drools* !! ^^ XD
I wonder how rose water tastes (o_°)>
Mindamindaroth on April 13th, 2007 11:44 am (UTC)
You should get some of the little onigiri molds they sell at most daiso. It makes onigiri construction easier by a factor of about 1000.

I love Shinjuku. I really do. It A) Has Shinjuku Gyoen B) Has Marui one. and C) Is home to the famous 2chome, which is about the only place you can hope to get any action, if you're of...different sexual orientations.
Yuviyuvi on April 13th, 2007 12:18 pm (UTC)
Your Onigiri looks very tasty. I was told that yep.. you can find just about everything in vending machines in Japan ^.^ onder why is that.
cryduchatcryduchat on April 13th, 2007 12:43 pm (UTC)
I wonder if you could make any $$ by offering your services as an English consultant to the Home Cocks .... hmmmm.
