Happy Easter, sakura-lovers! =^o^=
Happy Easteeeeeeeer!!! ^________^
I think that if it wasn't for livejournal, I would forget that it was Easter at all! ^_^;; Since there's no immediate family here to remind me... I was wondering.. Why do you celebrate Easter? (assuming that you do) I'm not a religious person, but I love Easter. To me, it was always the day where you got to hunt for eggs in the park, and baskets of candy in the house. So much fun!! <3 I can't wait until I have someone to celebrate it with. I don't go in for the Christian reasons for it, but isn't it fine just to celebrate a fun day of eggs and bunnies? I personally think that it's alright. If you disagree with that, why?

So anyways... I've been pretty busy!! Geh. Which is very good, though it makes me feel a litlte bit stressed, honestly. But it's alright. Life is good to change up sometimes! On Friday, I went way out to the distant Chuo Daigaku campus area to meet with Trinity and help her get acquainted with Tokyo. It was a lot of fun! Trin is such a sweetheart!! <3<3 I think that I wore her out. =D Then on Saturday, Erin, Eda and I went to Inokashira park to hang out, do a little sakura and shopping, and then patronize my favorite restaurant, a Thai restaurant called the Blue Parrot (or something like that). ^o^ One thing that I find really funny.. The other day, I was talking to Kyo about traveling to Italy this summer, and Eda mentions that she wants to go to Europe this summer, and at the same moment we said, "Yeah, I want to go to Italy!" LOL So maybe we'll go together to Italy for a week this summer. I really can't wait! ^-^

Me and Trinity being silly... ^o~//

The wonders of Inokashira park (where I most want to live right now).

There was a large cement area lined with sakura trees, that people had spent all day claiming with giant tarps. There were parties galore! ^___^ Thankfully the only people who suggested that we join them were some really nice schoolgirls. We ended up not doing so, but it was really sweet of them. ^^ Thankfully the drunken revelers kept to themselves, though it was really funny to watch them. =D =D =D Hanami is such a great time of year.

Sakura and leaves.

This one is my favorite.

And I also like this one. These swan boats are a pretty famous date plan. Some day I want to go out on them. They look so much fun! ^___^

It was sunny, but a little chilly still. Thanks to the really odd weather we had last week, it isn't nearly as warm as it should be. Oh well, it's only a matter of time!! :O Thanks to my favorite natural disaster, global warming, maybe this will be the last year this happens. It's only a matter of time until it's summer all year round!! <3<3<3

Hahahahaaaa--- this guy was riding the fronts of the swan boats and jumping from boat to boat! XD;; How did he get on there? =D

And then suddenly, this HUGE gust of wind starts and it was literally a blizzard of petals! It was really cool!!! I tried to take a video of it, but it turned out that I wasn't actually filming when I thought it was, so I only caught the end of it. (It was a LOT thicker than that for a while) But stilll. It was one of the neatest things that I've ever seen!

Nearly every street/walkway looks like this right now. Actually, this is really light..

A crow was flying around, so I tried to take a picture..

I'm listening to the Budlight Real Men of Genius advertisements. Do you remember those? =D It reminds me of you, Athy and Nav! ^.~

Cool pikkus!:3

Here we celebrate Easter because of our faith. :3 It's the time when we rejoice because Christ has risen again after dying on the cross. :3 He saved us from our sins and then returned after 3 days.X3

Anyway,Happy Easter!!!:3

Beautiful pictures. I don't celebrate Easter. I'm Buddhist. So, its pointless to celebrate Easter, but I do like eggs and candy. Hahaha!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 8th, 2007 03:21 pm (UTC)
I'm not Christian at all, but I still love to celebrate Easter. Just I don't care about the 'meaning'. It's like Christmas and Halloween. It's all about the celebration, not whatever religious meaning there is to it.

hehehe ^___^

must have been fun. I'm not Catholic either, but I still "celebrate" Easter with the egg hunts and stuff..:D;; *all my education at Catholic schools have gone to waste*

Happy Easter

I thought that it was a Christian holiday, not just Catholic? LOL I'm not either, but I love to celebrate the day, just not the Christian meaning of it.

Ahh I remember the swan boats! lol I remember one crashed into one of the trees XD

It's so pretty *o*

I'm Christian, but I don't celebrate the 'religious' meaning to it. 'Celebrating' Easter with candy and chocolate is good enough for me XD;;.

Happy Easter :D

Ah, Easter! And the wonderful Chocolate Easter Eggs ^^ They're such a crime to my waistline but I just can't resist them XD But right now, I'm a little mad since my easter break have been reduced.(one of the advantages of living in the biggest catholic country in the world is the large amount of hollidays you get XD)Oh, btw, lovelly pictures ^^

Ahhh Happy Easter. Well, I don't celebrate it. And that's the end of the story. XD

Happy Easter!!!! ^^ I'm like you in the way I celebrate Easter. I just enjoy the baskets, egg hunting, and of course any holiday with Bunnies is <3 I only go to church if my family goes.

BTW...i've been watching Japanorama, and this episode had a part about the Fertility festival you went to. I reconise some of these places from your photos ^^ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm8rAv6uhIw

Oh wow it looks to pretty!

And yay for the swan boats! Ive always wanted to do those too hehe

And as for easter I just love the egg hunts and easter baskets. But unfortuantely this year my family classified me as an "adult" and didn't get em an easter basket. I found that out this morning. And strangely it was very depressing, because there's few childhood thigns taht keep on being wonderful even when you grow up
Vickytoldtojoinlj on April 8th, 2007 06:21 pm (UTC)
Trinity's a cutie~!
Er.. random. xD;;

Happy Easter to you, too. I don't celebrate it anymore, though. I used to be more religious than I am currently (I'm more agnostic now), but I guess I prefer the religious meaning of Easter over the other meaning, though we used to really be into the whole bunny/eggs/hunt/coloring thing. In my family, we did both and celebrated with a Christmas-like meal to thank the Lord and such. As I got older, it started to lose its appeal on both ends, and I hardly care anymore.

I feel bad though because I have a little sister and God-daughter who celebrate Easter, and I never feel like.. encouraging them? I guess. And I don't know if I'll celebrate it in the future even if I possibly become a mother. ._.;;

In Mexico, we don't have Easter ; _ ;
Instead, we have a week called Semana Santa, where we can't eat meat and is a religious time when we remember the last days of Jesus in earth and also the resurrection.
