☺ I ♥ Everyone ☺
On Monday after work, I broke my usual rule of not staying out late after work and went out with Ami-chan and her sister Sa-chan. We just shopped and slummed around in Ikebukuro, had dinner, and then took some purikura. I love purikura! ^.^ It feels like it's been forever!! (though I should have let my hair down...) It's so much fun being around Ami, I get all hyper recently. =^_^=

On Sunday I went Karaoke-ing with A-chan and snapped this picture of eastern Shinjuku out of the window. I need to go to this place more often just for the view!! By the way, this is the same street that I live on, if you walk about 30 minutes down it to where it's not so busy.

Ami-chan said that lécher means "to lick" in French. ☺ But strip the accents and what do you get? =D Yep, you got it!! XD;; (Possibly closely related to 'licking' in some circumstances, right? ^^)

There is a Pottery place near Shinjuku park that I walk past a lot if I walk home from that station.. One night, they were closed and had this pretty display in a window so I tried to take a few artsy pictures.... I need a new camera where I can control the depth of field, though.. but I really like them. ^^ I'm going to take their pottery class someday, it sounds like fun and reminds me of high school. =D

If you take purikura in this booth, you can make wonderful to the background too! =D

And I love American Idol. I laughed so hard at this:
Angry contestant's mom: He needs to go back to f.. where he from.. French?
Angry contestant: Wherever the hell there.
Seacrest: No he, he's British.
Angry contestant's mom: British? Well he can go back to British and be a judge for British people.

ROFLOL I didn't know that British was a country! Oh, the humiliation to be American and included in a group with her.^-^;; ..... but props for Ryan for saying later "until Simon flies back to.. British." :D I love watching American Idol, especially the auditions. I wish that I had the singing talent to be on there, or the nerve to make a fool of myself. But I do a good enough job of that everyday, no reason to buy a plane ticket back to America to do it. =D;; But one thing that I don't like this season... all of the yelling (like above) at Simon to go back to Britain because he's not American. Do they have any idea how prejudiced that is? And they're the ones that were fighting for a chance just to get to see Simon, so what does that say of them? I see it all the time in Japan, that kind of prejudice, and it's not cool. As I've said a million times, isn't it better to say that this is one planet, rather than a bunch of countries? I think so. We are all human (well, this lady I'm not so sure..) But still, well.... at least the people that make the remarks are educated to the level of this lady or below, so... it's a small comfort.

*sings* Daite daite daite Senorita, tsuyoku tsuyoku tsuyoku hanasenaide♪ <-- to my future lover? Haha..

That song at the end, where is that from?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 7th, 2007 01:36 pm (UTC)
I'm soooo proud to be an American...... XDXD;;

It's from "Daite Senorita" by Yamashita Tomohisa. ^-^ It was the ending theme to one of the popular dramas a season or two ago. ^^

I love Daite Senorita (and its singer...).

Anyway, I've gotten out of American Idol, after the first season because of all the drama.

Wow, Tokyo (Shinjuku is part of Tokyo right?) nightlife reminds me of Las Vegas. All the lights and the buildings.

Oh and as for the question about subway, there's really nothing to it right? Get a ticket, go on, and hopefully get off at the right stop. Though are there English letters to differeniate each rail station or are they all in symbols?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on February 7th, 2007 10:16 pm (UTC)
It's part of Tokyo, yep. ^^

Yep, the subway is super easy. It helps to have a map with you to know where you're going at first because it can be a bit confusing, but getting on and buying a ticket is simple. The signs are always in kanji and hiragana, and within Tokyo most of them are in roman letters too, though some small places aren't. But there are audio announcements on the train too, if you can hear them over the people.

Awesome icon, btw.

Oh man, I watched the last day of auditions last night. Americans have got to be the only people who, upon finding that one door does not work, pushes harder instead of trying the other day. What's up with that??And, I know about the British thing also. Now I really wish I was Japanese. ^_^;

Oooo, nice pictures. I wish there was more that I could do for getting stuff ready to apply to the JET program. I can't find the letter of rec. form. If I am accepted, I can stay in Japan for a year. *wonders if there will still be PoT musicals in 2008-2009.*

I haven't watched the auditions of American Idol in a while, but I really got into this season's. The one thing that ALWAYS bothered me about some of the auditions were the ones who tried to (or actually did) sing another song after being told no. It's one thing if you're told that a song doesn't fit your voice to sing another song, but to be told that, basically, your voice isn't good is a whole different thing. Though not for said reason, watching the audtions always remind me of the wannabe divas, male and female alike, from my high school choir years.

I did crack up two times over the two different women who sang "How Did You Get Here" by Deborah Cox because that's one of my sister's favorite songs. Of course, those women sucked hardcore, but the way they carried themselves to seem like they believed that they were doing an awesome job cracked me up. Actually, now that I think about it, the girl whose mother you mention is one of them. xDD

Oh, but did you see the episode when that elderly man sang that song for his recently deceased wife? T 3T

American Idol bit
Sounds hilarious.
I wonder if she would have fallen for it if someone told her that he's an endangered species...

Taking a purikura is fun. Too bad there isn't a lot of purikura stands here...

Kazatte kakkou tsukezu ni, soba ni oide yo~~

Now, you got this song stuck in my head ♥
