Congratulations, Jennifer! ^o^
I want to say congratulations to my sister, who got married yesterday!! Somehow, I'm behind her even though I'm older, but really I don't want to get married anytime soon, and it's an honor that I will gladly bestow upon her. (Now I need to find time to call and gotta mail her present.....)

At right is more experiments to see how I can handle various mediums. Actually, I'm doing it just because I want to draw something that's not a sketch, and I've been dry for ideas recently...... but not anymore!! Doing daily art is really wakening up my artistic senses!! I can feel the creativity start to flow down the parched canals of yore~ ^o^

So, last night I did a really quick watercolor of Hermione from Harry Potter, though I messed up with the masking medium and tore off some of it.... It wouldn't fix well, but I did my best and it's actually hard to tell unless you're looking at it close (yay ^o^). Ah well, just practice/for fun, ne? And then a little while ago, this black and white of some smiling girl. I really messed up with what I wanted (quite different, actually), but I do like how it turned out. I think that I'm going to try to quickly do the version that I wanted, though.... Think kinda Jigoku Shoujo-ish, I think...... Or a cross between that and the Paraparu manga? Though it's kinda depressing... but I'd like to show another emotion other than happiness which is what I usually draw. I guess art really does imitate life? I'm always happy recently, so I'm always drawing happy girls....

PS: I suck at writing stories!! I really, really do!!! ;o; 頑張ります!私なら、作れますでしょう!
PPS: I LOVE 結婚できない男!! ("Kekkon dekinai Otoko") I love the characters and the situations, and it's so refreshing!! やっぱ芸術的な人が大好き♪スゴク面白いですネ☆♪

Ooh, I love the Hermione~ I really love your type of art. ^^ I'm usually picky when it comes to shoujo-ish art and fanart, but I really do love your art. I thought for a moment the Hermione was carrying a violin case or something, making me wonder if you decided to go for a music-related manga. XD

I love Kekkon dekinai Otoko very much too~~ I think it's my favorite so far, the doctor and the architect are just too funny. XDDD

^-^ Thank you!! ♪ Hey, music-related, that would be fun! But I'd have to do a lot of research, since I don't know much of anything about music other than listening to it.... ^^;;

Yeah on KdO!! I hope that those two get together in the last episode!! What his neighbor said at the end of the latest episode made me yell, "nooooooo!" at the screen. ^_^;; I was never sure if they were trying to set her up with him or not, but it's SUCH a BAAAAAD match! ;o;

I love your drawings. They are really really nice. ♥ Keep practicing! Remember, practice makes it better or was it perfect?
As for stories, if you can think up of a plot, draw it or better yet write it by putting off a writing device/plot device on the top of your paper, so you won't get sidetrack. Hopefully that will help.

Practice makes perfect!! ^o^ (I strive for it! ^o^)

Mmmmm it's my plot ideas that are slacking..... but the wheels have started grinding and I'm on the way!! ^o^

duhr. i want more artwork from you!

Haaaaai! ^o^ Actually, I do owe you something for the picture that you drew in my notebook, I think!

Wow, your art is looking GREAT!!! ^______^ I love them both! I'm jelous of your ability to use real medium.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 18th, 2006 01:53 pm (UTC)
Sankyuu!! ^o^ You should really try working with some watercolors!! I've found that the real version is a lot easier than the digital version, much to my surprise. I'm still looking for a good paper, though, once that won't rip or tear easily.... Next is airbrush and copic markers, when I finally get the time/money!! (which won't be for a while but..)

I so adore your artwork. I was actually thinking about saving up a tiny fund to set aside to commission you to do something if you could ever have the time.

Because my problem is the reverse of yours. I have lots of writing ideas and I am good at it...it's just my drawing skills are x.x
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 18th, 2006 01:51 pm (UTC)
Yay, commissions are great!! Actually, I don't accept commissions right now (unless it's for something professional-- in that case I would for my portfolio's sake), because I'm busy working on my manga..... but when I'm done, it's possible I might might. ^^

hahaha, apparently everyone likes Kekkon Dekinai Otoko. You're the second person on my FL to mention it since I made a post about it.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 18th, 2006 01:49 pm (UTC)
I started watching it because the actor that I like plays a bit part in the latest episode... and from the moment that I started watching it, I totally fell in love with the premise!!! =D Have you been watching it too? ^o^ I wonder if the book came first, or the series......

Congratualations to your sister! :D

And as always beautiful drawings Jamie! I dunno how you can color so well. Maybe its because I use Crayola lol.

congratulations to your sister!
that show is hilarious. the main actor is so good--entirely different from his character in dragon zakura!

Your sister and I have the same name xD

Something about Jigoku Shoujo?? 8D Haha, I was just reading the entry and 'Jigoku Shoujo' just caught my eye and I couldn't concentrate anymore ^^;; ('cause I totally love JS :DDD)

Congratulations to your sister! My older brother pretty much has the same attitude you do, so I know exactly what you mean. I think my parents were the ones who had a harder time adjusting to the fact that their younger daughter was married before their older son.

I know I've been terrible at commenting, but I am still reading!! And I'm still coming to Japan in November (got my tickets and everything!), so let me know what you want me to bring over for you. I also got myself a Costco membership this year >D so I can try and bring some stuff over in bulk. I'll just have to see how much luggage me and the hubby can handle.

Hmm...and I totally understand the comment you made about art imitating life. When I write, I can't seem to write stories that take anything to the extreme (both positive and negative emotions), and I cannot write angst at all. I think it's because I'm pretty happy with my life, and while it's not super exciting every day, I'm content.

Take care of yourself!!!

Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on September 18th, 2006 09:52 pm (UTC)
Yay!!! I'll let you know later on (getting ready for work now..)

Yeah, I think that my parents must be one of the few that don't pressure their kids to get married. I've never felt pressured at all about it, or to find someone. That's my business after all, and I completely don't understand why some families pressure their kids to get married and have more kids. X.x It's not very nice of them.
