☆書道とパーティ☆ o(^▽^)o
Sorry that I haven't written in a while!! But I've been pretty busy and tired, what with work starting up again a few days ago. I'm SO glad that it's the weekend now, I can't even express it!! (~_~) This is gonna be "work on manga" weekend. ^-^ *more motivated now than ever*

So, on Thursday, I ran straight from work to my japanese class, which is kinda... well, it's an interesting class. It's free for us, because the teachers are a group of students studying for their teaching certificates. My class has everywhere from beginners that can't read hiragana, to people who are in the advanced level. So it's quite hard to teach such a mix, I'm sure. But despite everything, it's been an interesting semester. I skipped last month because I was pretty busy, but am so glad that I started going again!! We had to make up stories based on a picture and tell them to the class (In mine, the girl had skinned her knee, so I said that she had turned to look at a gorgeous boy and fallen down, and because of that experience, from that moment on she hated boys forever. XD;;), and then for the second half we did calligraphy!! Yay!! ^o^ I love calligraphy!!

Later on, we went out to an izakaya and generally had a great time!!! I had to leave early (if 9:30 is early), because I had to work in the morning, but still had a great time!! We got to know each other a lot better, and I really like the people in my class. I hope that they continue to come next semester, I know that I will, because more than anything (I don't learn much of anything in the classes recently), I meet lots of interesting people. ^__^ I love meeting interesting people!! ^O^

In the second picture, that's me, painting "Mirai" (未来) which means "future". It's one of my favorite japanese words. =^__^= Calligraphy is so much fun!! And they gave us the brushes, so I think that I may do some calligraphy on my own to get better!!

PS: I received a spam email on my cell phone, but I saw that the link inside had "hime" in the address and immediately thought, "Kime??" Aheh.. ~_~;;

Ahhh, calligraphy is so much fun with chinese characters! :D
Definitely worth trying on your own too- especially with hard to remember kanji & such. Really helps stroke order too :)

Using a brush with water on a dirty chalkboard works well too.

Glad you had fun!

Glad that you had a fun class. It sounds fun to calligraphy. The only thing that I can write it my name.

I love those pictures. I especially like the first one. ♥ I really want to learn Korean but the class doesn't offer it in my university.

Agh, calligraphy KILLED my GPA in college. @.@ Being left-handed might be why...

Where are these Japanese classes? Will there be others that I might be able to take part in? I really should be buckling down on that. @.@

I'm left-handed too, and I didn't have any problems. ^-^

I'll give you the information when I see you today. ^^

Maybe it was because of the characters I was doing--or maybe it was because I was forcing myself to use my right hand in order to get the strokes right. @.@

You've always had such an imaginitve mind, Hi-chan. ^^; I wonder what their reaction was to the hating boys for that reason. It's really cute though!! Made me laugh.

=D All of the teachers laughed, and the students that understood it. =D The rest of the class was like, "what?" XD

*giggles* seems like you've really had fun with the calligraphy. I still remembered how difficult it had been to learn the different strokes when I was young. Then I had to use my right hand - another leftie here - to write as it was the 'proper' way (my teacher's words) to do calligraphy... Safe to say I haven't touched them for years ^^|||

I'm glad that nobody's tried to make me do it with my right hand! ^_^;; I'd do it and then switch back.......!

I wish I could do calligraphy! It looks so pretty, but I'm so terrible when it comes to any kind of painting.
