Starbucks: for the rodent in all of us!
I ate a doughnut today that was 553 calories. Wow. o.o
The sign reads: さいごのさいごまで、スターバックス
Literally: Until the end of the end, Starbucks.

LOL. What a strange slogan. Actually in Japanese, it doesn't sound nearly as strange. I think they kind of mean "Starbucks: good until the last drop". But reading it, I didn't think of that until several hours later. I thought they meant more like "Starbucks: until the end of time". I guess it's an effective ad since I was still thinking of it several hours later, if you don't consider the fact that the picture it looks a little bit like a hamster's water-bottle? Ahaha....

Today, I went to Eda's and I worked on my manga while she worked on her doujinshi. It was a rather productive afternoon. ^^ Then it started raining on the way home, and I had forgotten my umbrella, so I had to walk home in the rain with a white tank-top on. ^_^;;;; Oops!

Starbucks = yummy. I love it. ♥ I can't live without coffee nor tea. ♥

Hmmm. that looks like the straw is dropping out and creates this "oh, no!" feeling inside me :D It's quite an eye-catching ad. come to think of it, i've never seen a starbucks ad like this in my country. Usually, there are just ads for the latest deals, sometimes decorated with drawings of people...or just photos of delicious-looking stuff...:p

Yay for being productive! That sounds just about like the perfect day. *heart*

And yay squared for Hamster-sippy cups!

lololol i agree. i think she has more the body of a westerener or sumtn. not only her boobs, but her ass is huge too =3= (or at least what kubo draws of her in the manga. in the anime she just looks like a stick except the chest part)

Starbucks is good, albeit a bit expensive. How much is it over there for a caramel frappuccino? It's like $4 here.

I don't know, I don't like coffee..... but I think it's probably about the same or more!

Haha, I always go to Dunkin' Donuts xD

553 calories is how much I have for breakfast and lunch per day.

It's fine for a whole meal, but for a single doughnut?! That's insane!! O.o;;
uncreativemeuncreativeme on July 10th, 2006 12:22 am (UTC)
for some reason it looked like a shower to me. then i read your post and realized it was ice cream (^^);
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 10th, 2006 12:25 am (UTC)
Huh? *blinks* There's neither shower nor ice cream in this post. o.o;;
uncreativemeuncreativeme on July 10th, 2006 03:14 am (UTC)
No there's not but it looks like an ice cream container so I assumed....
uncreativemeuncreativeme on July 10th, 2006 03:15 am (UTC)

...That is a weird slogan! Or could it be like in that Space Odyssey 2000 movie where the monolith is always there... but it'll be that Starbucks Mermaid lady? Ah frightening. I live near Seattle and whenever I go there SHE'S EVERYWHERE so I'd believe it :D
Yuviyuvi on July 10th, 2006 01:27 pm (UTC)
hehehe.. It does look like a hamster's water bottle.

I love starbucks, but is just too expensive, so I don't get it often. The best is their frappuccinos on a hot day :D

Hello there, you've been friended! (again) I always love reading about the experience of a Gaijin in Japan. :D

Me? I'm just a big seiyuu lover who's learning Japanese but should probably be learning Chinese..
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 11th, 2006 03:48 am (UTC)
Hello! ^__^ *friends back* Did you ever think of trying to become a seiyuu yourself? ^^ A friend of mine who is Russian, is living here in Japan trying to become a seiyuu. ^__^ I admire her a lot for the kind of passion that takes! ♥
im_an_aaangel on July 11th, 2006 03:50 am (UTC)
Thanks! Nah, I don't have the lung power or the guts for that. I'm more of a behind-the-scenes person. ^_^
Chiakichiaki777 on July 11th, 2006 06:57 pm (UTC)
so as the world is ending: Starbucks... it'll doom us all.
