I was 7 once too......♪
It's me as a little girl! =^__^= Actually, I was a really shy kid, unless you knew me really well. ^^ I must have been 6 or 7 in this picture, I think..

When I went back to see my family a few months ago, I took some pictures from my childhood back with me. Somehow these pictures were in my things, and they were pictures that I've always loved. ^^ Maybe it's because, in all honesty, I had a really happy childhood. I was a really happy child, I don't know if people saw that or not. I'm not very close with my family, but somehow I seem to be one of the few people that I know that remember growing up fondly. I even loved High School (which is why I didn't want to take Running Start even though I qualified off the roof for it..).

I had a vivid imagination as a child, and I would lead my few friends in school on wild adventures because of it. I had several imaginary invisible dogs/wolves as friends too that constantly kept me company (Kaviik was one of them..). I'm not sure when they left me, but maybe they never truly have.... I often preferred playing alone (or reading), but my imagination was so vivid that I was never, ever bored. I could always slip off into that imaginary place, you know. ^^ (do you know?)

I still haven't completely grown out of it. I've changed so much since I was 7, but I think that some things never change.. please.... I want to retain that youth forever and ever. ^__^

The full version of the above. My little brother and me. ^^:

I love this picture!! I have no memory of this being taken at all, and I know that our heads are cut off... but I love it anyways, for some unknown reason!! I'm on the left, then my dad in the background, and my little brother and sister in the middle and right.

I wonder how old I was here... this was taken on my birthday at Universal Studios...... I must have been... 11? Frankenstein kissed my hand that day, a fact that I was EXTREMELY embarrassed of!! Me on the left, then my brother, sister, and Dad.

I really, really want to start a scrapbook. I'm going to start putting one together when I have some money....

You look so cute :D But wow, you were already so tall at 11! At that age, I was probably around your brother's height still...like, seriously ;p

Glad to know you had a happy childhood. I reckon they make all the difference in how a person views the world later in life...btw, what's Running Start? *has never heard of it*
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 7th, 2006 12:01 pm (UTC)
Running start was a program where you could take college classes at the local Community college and get both college and high school credit for them. For free!! I could have gotten two years of college free, but I didn't want to miss out on the "high school experience." Not that my experience was like the regular one. ^^;; I didn't go to prom or anything.

Ohhh I went to one year of that at my school...then I went back to HS for the "HS Experience" too...but I regretted it in my case ^^;

Wow, so you're creativity was so prominent even as a child- the imagination. I was a little like that myself. ;o)

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH so cute ^______________^ I want to be 10 again (why 10 years ? don´t know, but I really liked life when I was 10, being a child has its good points, too, I guess)

such a cute picture :D

I can say that I had a happy childhood too. I guess I repressed all the bad stuff cause I honestly can't remember how I felt when my parents divorced and when my mom left for a while. I had a vivid imagination too, I remembered having mermaid friend hehehehe. There was a time when I was obsessed with mermaids, I remember dressing my barbies as such too.

gah! you guys look like the picture-perfect american family!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 7th, 2006 08:37 pm (UTC)
ROFLOL We were anything but perfect. ^.^ But aside from the imperfections, I had a good childhood. It was probably due largely in part to my mom, though I didn't know it at the time. ^^

Nice pictures. Ah, my mom keeps reminding me about the childhood things that I did when I was a child like sticking up for my sister when these boys bullied her at McDonalds...and I didn't know a word of English...and I kept speaking in Vietnamese and they ran away.
But I love scrapbooks and photos. I have these collections of photobooks and scrapbooks near my bookshelf!

Uwah~ you look so cute in the first picture, I can totally feel the happiness emitting from that picture~! Your little brother looks like he's saying, "Nani yo, omae?" but of course, not in Japanese XD

And wolves are cool! I still admire them today ^^

I love these kinds of pictures, you look so cute! For our highschool year book all the seniors got to submit one baby picture, it was fun to see what kinds of pictures people picked, some were pretty funny. Like being in a highchair completely covered in food or smiling standing by a toilet (that comes up to your neck!) XD
