Tokyo Design Festa

Today Eda, Erin, and I went to the Tokyo design festa!!! ^____^

Being around artists is SO inspiring. I felt my creative energy rising from the moment that I walked inside! I'm SO glad that I went, even though I was still mending. I maybe overdid it for my body, but I'm hoping that by tomorrow I should be feeling better. ^^ I hope I hope!! ^^

This was a cariacture artist... I feel motivated to do caricatures of my friends after watching him!! ♥ I need to buy some watercolors to start. ^^

This guy did portraits for free, but you weren't allowed to keep them. He was also incidentally looking for a nude model. XD

Video: Yeah, I love Japan........
Video: I guess that double-dutch is an art. ^^

Erin and I are thinking of getting a booth for the next show, which is in December. ^^ I wonder what I should make if we do it... *has tons of ideas*

Heee~ looked like you had a GREAT time :)

It seems that creativity is much amplified whenever you're around artistic people. Very cool!

It was really fun!! ^__^ If you're going to be in Japan when the next one is, we can go together! ^^

That would be FANTASTIC.
I'll be going around this time next year, if all pans out.
Was Chiho Aoshima there by any chance that you can remember?
She's one of my favorites along with Yumiko Kayukawa.
If you've not heard of them/seen their work, they are two good names to check out!

I'm sorry, I've never heard of either of them, and I didn't know the names of any of the artists that came (they all displayed company names). So I'm not sure if they were there or not. ^^;;

I hope that it works out and you can come! ^^

Man, I wish I had been in Japan to go to this! I know one of my current "must dos" when I go in June is to go to the Ginza Graphic Gallery for inspiration. I'm in such a slump art-wise, it's driving me crazy. T^T
