Your HP increased for 150 yen!
Final Fantasy PotionThis is one of the coolest things that I've ever seen at a japanese grocery store. ^^

Final Fantasy VII POTION ----------------->
Even though I'm not a Final Fantasy fan, per se (I love Aeris though!!!!♥ Best character to ever come out of FF), I still thought that it was cool and had to buy it!

Too bad that it tastes like regurgitated vitamins.. and lemons.. and vaguely of cinnamon.. but what did you expect from a drink that raises your HP?

*Off to make my miso-salmon dinner. Hopefully it turns out better than the potion!! ^.^;;
Btw, reserved my 'Making of Cinepuri NAVIGATE' DVD today at Lawson's. Wheee!! ^^ I'm debating on getting one of the special tickets. m'_'m *knows self too well* Now, which character to get, hmm............ I'm somehow leaning toward Adachi or new-Ryoma...

PS: I'm reading Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, the english translated version. Is anybody else reading it or has read it? This book surprised me with it's GRUESOMENESS. I think that I'm going to have nightmares after reading about what the crazy guy did to cats. I felt physically sick to my stomach, that is SO GROSS.

Ahhhh, that looks so cool! Even though it doesn't taste good.... XD Still, that's so pretty~ :3

And apparently Murakami is SUPER POPULAR in Australia! :O My cousin got reccomended to read his books like... five different times the last time he went back to visit his relatives, and he's gone through almost all of his books now. He thinks they're really funny! ^^; But, uh... the cat thing sounds really disturbing. @_@;;

Oh my god, it was one of the most disturbing things that I've ever read. I wanted to vomit. And this is coming from someone who read and loved Battle Royale... x.x

i agree, the book, like most of his, is really disturbing... my favorite character is kawamura :D
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 4th, 2006 01:34 pm (UTC)
I liked Kawamura a lot too!! I nearly cried when.... oh man, so HORRIBLE!!!

This is the first time that I've finished one of his books, I think. Maybe I've read one other, but japanese books are just really strange. It's the writing style, I think. Eventually, I'm gonna try reading one in japanese instead, maybe it's easier..

hahah I wanted to try the potion thing (the commercial was the best xD)
Oo only 150Y? That's cheaper than I thought it would be o_o;

*gasp!* i didn't know you could reserve DVDs at Lawsons :o! Lawsons has become my new favorite conbini :D lol
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 4th, 2006 01:35 pm (UTC)
Lawsons really is the best!!! ^__^ It's so convenient!! (except for Tenimyu tickets. When that time comes around, I hate it with a passion...x.x)

I don't know. I like Murakami. Like if I were to describe Japanese writing in terms of colours, Banana Yoshimoto's like water coloured pastels, while Murakami's neon.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 4th, 2006 01:37 pm (UTC)
Can you recommend any books by him? ^^ I read Norwegian Wood once upon a time, but I remember not really liking it. This current book was really intriguing up until this really nasty part with the cats, but it seems to be going a bit slow for my taste.

Mostly, I find that I'm not fond of the japanese writing style for novels. Or maybe I'm just reading bad translations? I've read Ryu Murakami's Coin Locker Babies (marginally liked, but it wasn't the best..), and of course Battle Royale, but not really much else besides classic works..

I just started The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, which is also by Murakami. I also saw Kafka but I opted for this one. I haven't gotten far yet, but I'll try to do so if this book has freaky stuff like that. =P
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 4th, 2006 02:43 pm (UTC)
I might give that one a try too... ^^

I liked Kafka a lot, Oshima being my favorite character. I love Murakami. I've got four books by him, and I'm so totally getting more of them. I really like his style, the creepy touch of his books is comparable to some of Stephen King novels, because of the way he mixes surreal things with normal things and makes them all live side by side as though all of them are normal. Yeah, I know, I'm not making any sense. Anyway, loved it.

Which book do you think is his best? I'll give that one a try. ^^

you got the chance to taste it!! I'm so envious I always wanted to taste it too. Everyone say it tastes like regurgitated vitamins though, but it might be as you say, what do you expect from a drink that raises your HP?
Too bad you're not too much of a FF fan, you'd really be if you played all the games! Or maybe you have but they didn't suite your taste. I hope you you got to solve the problem with KH II though, you got your hands on it yet?

by the way may I contact you?? I don't have your email though I have a few questoions, hope that's alright!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 4th, 2006 02:42 pm (UTC)
I played a little bit of Final Fantasy 7... but I couldn't keep going, because I HATE turn-based battle systems with a PASSION. They're so fake that I just can't do them. In what world would the bad guys sit there and WAIT for you to attack them in turn? Whatever... X.x As for KH2, yep it's on it's way to me. ^^

If you give me your email address, then I can send you an email. Sorry that I can't give it out directly here, because I don't want the general public to be able to know it.

Sometime in May, though there's no more specific date than that that I can find.

Currently, my English teacher is forcing us to read The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Its not a bad book but its in a diary/letter format and its driving me crazy since there are so many misspellings and XD ack, it just drives me crazy. I suppose that's how the book is suppose to be like.
As for FFVII Potion, dear lord. I would never buy that stuff because it probably tastes nasty!
I REALLY WANT TO SEE CINEPURI! I saw the trailers and I'm waiting for it to come out on DVD.
XD
MAI WANTS!!

I need food. DEFINTELY FOOD.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 4th, 2006 11:56 pm (UTC)
Oh man, if you don't like 'The Color Purple'st misspellings, NEVER read 'Flowers for Algernon.' So many misspellings that it's hard to read at first!! But it, too, is a diary. (it's such a good book though!!)
