Japanese foods I love, some funny videos too
This is the FUNNIEST ice-skating video that I've ever seen!! I love figure skating, but this takes it to new levels of disturbing!! (笑) Sex bomb sex bomb!! Maybe it makes things worse because the song makes me think of you, Elvy? XDXD

ROFLOL Jesus: The musical!!!!! Do I go to hell for thinking this is hilarious??

By the way.. japanese foods that I have fallen in love with:
ひじき豆 - Slightly sweet, this stuff was a bit of a turn-off at first, being related to seaweed. But it's oh-so おいしい!!
みかん - Okay, I cheat, these are mandarin oranges. They're not even japanese origin, but I've never had them fresh outside of Japan. And here in Japan, EVERYONE eats them. They eat them way more than they eat regular oranges, and I can see why. Because they're DELICIOUS!!! So sweet and juicy and full of flavor!!! ♥ YUM. I can't understand why in America, you usually eat them out of the can... they're not NEARLY as good as this!
桜kit-kat - Sadly, this, which is easily the most delicious of kit-kat's millions of experimental flavors, was only available for a limited time. And now that it's actually sakura season, they're not around anymore, much to my dismay. ;_; I wish that I could share them with everyone!!
カレー - Again, not japanese food, but we don't really eat it in America. I can't understand WHY. I like indian and thai curry better than japanese, but I LOVE japanese curry all the same, especially when you can choose the level of spice! (一番辛い for me!!)
焼肉 - After trying the japanese version of BBQ, I wonder how I ever survived without it! I ♥ Yakiniku sauce!!
ミルク茶 - Again, something that I don't really see in America. And I wonder why.... it's tea made sweet and milky and packaged in PET bottles..... what's not to love??!! Sweet tea is love!!

I am going to bed.. tomorrow is going to be a day for me to work on my things! Unless someone invites me out to do something! =D (Maybe I will sneak out to one of the parks, though....)

I thought everyone ate mikans' because they were easy to eat. XD At least, that's why I eat em' instead of regular oranges... you can just take one from the bag and eat it in front of the TV, no?

Ahh the released a lot of yummy sakura/pink snacks for the eam takers. Maybe they'll come back again next year?

Milk tea ? And that´s tasty ? o____o .... eehrm ... ok XD never had milk IN my tea, so I really can´t imagine how this tastes.
But I don´t like sweet tea, so I guess I wouldn´t like ミルク茶, too ^^

Hn~ do you drink (a lot of) green tea in Japan ? I´m just asking because I´m a great green tea fan. (I also like sencha a lot and I want to try gyokuro once O.O)

じゃあ、 おやすみ!~

Hee! That was HILARIOUS, the ice skating!!! XD *dies laughing*

And you've never had mandarin oranges non-canned out of Japan?? Wow. I dunno, that's totally wierd for me since we grow them in our backyard, so me and my friends have grown up eating them all the time. ^^;;; They're definitely yummy~ ^o^

Wow, Jesus the musical!! XD .... I'm sure it's on the same level as Jerry Springer: The musical, which is real, by the way. XD

AHHH~ I miss eating Japanese food SOO MUCH!! Everyone loves the milk tea but I don't really like it at all. xx;; I wonder why it doesn't taste good to me. I rather drink the water-like tea they always have. XD And Japanese curry is the best thing ever. Now I want to go to a curry restaurant there and eat it. Ahh.** Sakura kit-kat? :OOOO Omg, what did it taste like?
Mana Dillontaijimana on March 31st, 2006 03:21 pm (UTC)
Haha, I also got addicted to mikan and curry when I lived in Japan. Man I miss em so much... Even though I can get them whenever I want it's just not the same ^^

Really need to go back sometime soon ^^

D: You shall not tempt me with all the tasty things of Japan~~ I miss it so much. Say, did you ever eat Milky?? Cause the 桃ミルキー is deeeeelicious :D~~~~

My host mother did the most tasty sort of カレー, she made it from the typical Korean receipy (the one with rice), but the next day we would always have some left-over curry that we'd make a very special sort of カレーうどん with :D とっても美味しいで、今もう食べたくて②仕様がない~↓↓

and lol @ Plushenko. He is so awesome, the winter olympics this year he really pwned all the other figure skaters, it's a pity really cause he does it with so much class and style... that there's no competition XD
Sherrysherryillk on March 31st, 2006 03:32 pm (UTC)
I don't think I've ever seen mandarin oranges in a can before... o.O Now that I think about it, that must be where all the ones they use in salads come from... My family had always been about fresh fruit (but then again they're Chinese and they're all like that).

As for milk tea, is it like milk bubble tea in taste? Almost sickly in sweetness, creamy with a hint of tea?
Magbabysyusuke on March 31st, 2006 03:34 pm (UTC)
Sakura Kit Kat *.*

Oh I would love to try that when they DO make it over here to Singapore...

Freytsuki_fru on March 31st, 2006 03:52 pm (UTC)

現実逃避shiroro on March 31st, 2006 03:53 pm (UTC)
Ahh mikan!!! AND KOTATSU!! *__* The way to spend a typical Japanese winter. hehe

:D Have you tried to tsubu tsubu ichigo kitkat? It was gooooooooood. It's so funny Japan has more varieties of kitkat than america does. x_x; That's so sad. lol
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 1st, 2006 01:22 am (UTC)
Yeah, I've tried them! They're really good!!!! (Not as good as sakura though!!) I really liked the passionfruit ones too!!

I guess that is weird... when I lived in America, they didn't do any other varieties of kitkat, so seeing variations here was a real surprise for me! Then when I visited America, they were doing it there too!! I was so surprised, I guess it really started this last year. XD

Glenburning_batsu on March 31st, 2006 06:12 pm (UTC)
Mandarin oranges are very common over here in NZ as well *eyes the mandarin tree outside which sprouts during spring/summer* ^____^
Yuntokkitsu on March 31st, 2006 06:27 pm (UTC)
Heh? Mandarin oranges are eaten from a can? OwO;;; I think I only eat it like that when I dump it into jello.

nicky87nicky87 on April 1st, 2006 05:46 pm (UTC)
hmmm actually too many mandarin oranges are in a way bad for health cause they are heaty... my mom never lets me eat too many cause i usually would end up with a cough ^^;;
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on April 1st, 2006 11:48 pm (UTC)
*blinks* But how would something healthy be bad for your health? They're usually good for the throat, I thought, because of all the vitamin c.
nicky87nicky87 on April 2nd, 2006 04:46 pm (UTC)
hmm don't know its suppose to be heaty so its not as healthy as the normal oranges?? i don't quite know how to explain... in chinese we would say its "yit hei" but then again the weather in japan and m'sia are worlds appat maybe it has a "stronger" efect here since its hot and cold all yaer...
Kira Seyvahstraycat_cayra on April 1st, 2006 06:02 pm (UTC)
*laughs* I remember that skating performance when it was on TV. I nearly died laughing then...
taishitaishi on April 2nd, 2006 10:42 pm (UTC)
Jesus the musical.

That floored me.
dj_antomattei on April 12th, 2006 08:55 pm (UTC)
Watched both videos you provided through and through.
I thought both were good humor also. How outrageous that ice skater video was I have to admit that was a pretty innovative routine and not to mention it was done flawlessly. I bet that guy went home with some type of championship, award, cash, or woman that night.
