Japanese tv influence on children..
XDXD Who wants to be a millionaire in japanese. XD;; I ♥ This reminds me, a few days ago we were playing a game in class, and one of the students answered my question ("Do you have a pencil?") with a "Yes, I do", and the 5th grade girl next to blurts out "Final Answer?" XDXD Ahh tv is good for something. XDXD The whole class laughed, and I couldn't help laughing too. XD

And yesterday AND today, the kids started going "Come on, Hard Gay!! to each other." -_-;;;;; *dies* I'm talking about 2nd graders here. Um.... Well, everyone loves Hard Gay, it seems. XD

PS- Can't WAIT for the school year to be OVER.

Everyone at school goes 'FOOOO!' and does the Hard Gay pose whenever they win a ping pong game or something at PE, or in the halls when they feel like it. We had a school sports tournament, and whenever someone earned a point they do the hard gay thing and audience would cheer and go 'FOOOO!' back. o.O Young people like hard gay type of things, I suppose. xD

LOL To me, it's kind of disturbing.... ^_^;;

But would they be that cool with someone really being gay? I have to wonder..

Hard gay was pretty disturbing to me at first, too. o.O But I got used to it. I think they'd just laugh at gay people... They like hard gay because he's funny and amusing to watch, and he's on a really famous comedy show. Everyone watches comedy shows, but I think they're all a bit too vulgar. The kids probably think gay=amusement.

LOL That's probably true. ^^;;; *dies* Someone recently told me though, that it's common for japanese boys to experiment with each other at a young age, because of stress and things. (Though it doesn't mean necessarily they're gay, just curious or stressed, I think..) Maybe that's part of it (or maybe not..).

I've been seeing those new commercials with Hard Gay in them. O.o;; Running during Pokemon!

Really? o.O Never heard of it before. Maybe it's because most people go to all boys/girls school? That means they'd be deprived of the opposite gender for 6 years (or 12, if from elementary school). People just like anything that amuses them I guess. xD;

Hard gay is on commercials too? o_o Boy, he must be getting really famous. I heard he hurt his hip from shaking it too much. People say 「ハードゲイになっちゃった」when their hips hurt. xD;;

ROFLOL they really say that? XD;;;; *dies* That amuses me too much. XD;;

By the way, last Sunday I was in the Book Off in Ogikubo (across from the station) while I was waiting for Eda, and I kept thinking that I'd see you there since there were TONS of people just standing around and reading!! O.o

I want to see Hard Gay~!

Actually, I also want to see Japanese Millionaire (Surely a million in yen isn't that much though...?). I figure it would be an excellent aid to learning Japanese and Japanese trivia. :)

I recorded a tiny bit of it to show people!! I'll try to post it up tomorrow or sometime soon, after I get it converted to avi.It's hilarious how they still use the english terms for lifelines and things like that-- and the host is SO FUNNY!!! He makes all of these ridiculous faces, and for one lady even hung there for over a minute with his mouth open and smiling, before yelling, "zannen!!" It was really funny! XD

I think that they're playing for more than a million yen though, because the girl was currently at 50,000,000 yen. ^^

Did you ever see the parody of Question Millionaire?

They make Beat Takeshi dress up like Regis and ask stupid questions with D being the joke answer. It's terribly funny. Especially with celebrities, because the question is about their lives and some of the questions are like the stuff you expect from tabloids.
