So the apartment hunting was good today. My realtor couldn't speak much more than a word of english so it was pretty hard for me, going to look at the apartments! (I'd had someone from my office with me to translate when we were at the agency) LOL but he kept telling me that he'd be my japanese talking practice, and he actually was REALLY patient with me and eventually I was pretty comfortable talking to him. I took videos of the apartments (all 2) that I looked at, and I'm really leaning towards this one where the rent is only 50,000 and it has a LOFT. (wow!!) It's beautiful! Small but beautiful!!! The area is so-so, but the real problem is that it's 37 minutes from Shinjuku by train. -_-;; However, it's about 2 minutes from the station. Literally right down the street. Mmmm, it's a real possibility, this one. I'm supposed to go look at some more sometime, but they haven't called me back so I don't know. o.o Soon. (I would get it almost automatically if it wasn't so far away.... It's twice as far as I am now, in the opposite direction. It's really close to work though.)
BTW, I know so much about the realtor now that I was in a car with him for HOURS. XD Like, he is a big fan of QUEEN and Bruce Springsteen, but he doesn't understand the lyrics at all. And he was shocked that I said pretty much every person in the US knows who Queen are. I mean, come on.... how can you not? LOL Nobody in Japan realizes that Queen was ever that big. Even if you don't listen to them, you know who they are at home. XD And nearly everyone I know back home can sing "We will rock you!!" I tried to explain what that lyric meant but I think I failed miserably. XD I fail the "translate easy song lyric into colloquial japanese" test XD. And he said I was lying when I said that Tokyo had lots of smog. He was like 'it's just smoke, and fog...' Riiiiiight. LOL and driving back we passed by GAIN so I said my friend was the manager, and he was all like "eeeeh? That's so cool to have a shop in Shibuya! You have amazing japanese friends!' LOLOL..
I got home to a notice that I have to pick up something from D-Boys at the post office after 7 today. Wah!!! MY TICKETS FOR THE LIVE ARE HERE!!!! YATTA!!!!!!!!! *waits impatiently* I will update with happy me and pictures of me loving the tickets, I think, after I pick them up. XD Gee, I only ordered them what.... 3 months ago? Something like that..
PS- I got photos from my mom in the mail today. My sister's first baby is getting really cute! :O And my brother looks all wierd and 19. X_x;; And Rachel's mom and one of her brothers were in the background in one of his graduation pictures!
Oh, and I couldn't pay for Nagayan's BBQ thing because all of the banks that I went to (4!!!) were closed and it was only 3:30! wtf??? I dunno what to do, I'm supposed to do it by tomorrow (Or Mon, not sure if it's 10 days from when I get the email or 10 days from application..) and none of the banks are open on weekends except for the ATMs. (VERY VERY VERY inconvenient, this city
