Life update~
Hmm, what to say.. I feel like it's been a stressfull week because I've been so depressed. Or at least, most of the time I was, but with the inevitable advent of le periodo (too much information?) it's really loosened up. (stupid mood swings! :O) I'm generally getting back to normal again, though there are moments. I also started a kind of 'help Jamie' regimen. This includes drawing EVERY day for a minimum of 2 hours, watching at least one program (anime, drama, etc) in Japanese, and at least 2 hours of studying (accomplished daily on the train to/from work). It's helping.. and I'm keeping up with lj sorta, which helps also. I also opened back up my Ragnarok Online account a while back, but am getting nowhere with it. I want to move from job lvl 40 to 50 before I switch classes, and it's REALLY slow going. Anyone willing to tank a job lvl 40 (sucky because I didn't specialize like I should have) mage on the Chaos intl. server? I will luv you!

I've been hating my hair ever since I dyed it a couple of weeks ago. It's too light on me, and somehow it just doesn't suit my skin tone. So yesterday I looked all over and finally found some red-brown dye, and it's marinating in my hair now. I hope that it looks good. I just hope that it doesn't look scary. *crosses fingers* It can't look any worse than before, for sure. (I really hope that it looks good on me - this kind of red-brown usually looks really nice.....) The kids at school tomorrow will be really surprised, I think.

The school that I'm at right now is by far my favorite one to be at. I just love the kids and the staff there!! They're wonderful!! LOL The teacher that hit on me last time seems to be subtly doing it again. *amused* And the science teacher is an OTAKU!! ROFLOL!! According to one of the other teachers, that is. He's pretty interesting, always sitting at his desk and cutting out these weird diagrams with an X-acto knife. I asked him what it was, and they're all pieces from a part... like seriously, a water fountain and the little things on the side of the gardens that keep you from stepping all over the plants! *charmed* It's just adorable and geeky, and oh so amusing! I feel at home being next to him in the teacher's room, because he's a geek like me even if he doesn't talk a lot. Oh, and he has lots of acne and looks really nerdy. XDXDXD I love it!

Today in school, I played the 'harry potter game' with some of my classes. (long story). Well the 4th graders that I ate lunch with are big fans it turns out!! XD The one girl who was sitting to my right kept talking about "Hebi-sensei"!! !! !! !! (Hebi = snake in japanese) I was thinking, 'oh... Prof. Snape = slytherin = snakes... got it!' LOL apparently I had it wrong, and I realized it when the other kids were correcting her-- they're like "SNAKE, chigaaauuuu!! SNAPE! SNA-PU!!" ...... ROFLOL!! She'd really thought they called him "Professor Snake" in english! rofl..!! Okay, maybe this is only amusing for a HP fan like me. XDD They asked me what my favorite Harry Potter installment was, and I said the fourth book. They kept mistaking it for movie, though I don't know how because I thought I was pretty clear. They were like, 'eeeeeehhh!!?!!! Wow in America the movie is out already!' -_-;; I asked them if they'd read the fifth book, but they STILL kept thinking it was the movie. ^_^;;;;;;; Oh, and they asked me what things were different about American elementary schools and Japanese ones. (It took a long time for me to understand the question and the help of dorky♥ science teacher) So I told them (sort of) about how we don't eat in the classrooms in America - we eat in a huge cafeteria with all of the other students. It was completely alien to them, lol. Next time I'll tell them that we don't have huge trough-like drinking fountains in America either. (the fountains here are JUST like in anime, it's amusing) Oh, and I told them that grade schools don't have sports clubs, and they were like "nooooo wayyyy?!!!" (Japanese - "EEEEEEEEEEHHHHHH??!!!?!!") Amused.. XD

Time to wash the die out of my hair.... ja~!
Edit: Wow, I wonder how it will look when it's dry. O.o It's REALLY red (because the last dye bleached it a lot) My poor hair, it's been through so much recently. But this should hopefully help a lot... I hope. I conditioned it for a really long time..
I made another version of that picture I posted the other day, check it out:
I really want a sakura background but I don't have a good picture. Anyone have one with really pink petals and really blue sky? (the weather was overcast every day here for sakura season..)

*pets the new version of the picture* It's very pretty! It throws me off a little bit though cos it seems like the light sources are different... highlighs on the girls seem to be on the left.. where highlights for the rest of the picture are on the right. Just a nitpicky thing I noticed. ^_^
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on June 22nd, 2005 12:01 pm (UTC)
Yeah, it's mostly because I colored it from another version, and for this one I just changed the color scheme, I didn't actually recolor anything. XD

Really, you didn't eat in the classrooms? At my elementary school, we always ate in the classrooms unless we had "hot lunch" which were special days the school would cook something for us. On those days, which were only like once a month or so...we would eat in the cafeteria...well not really a cafeteria but an auditorium. Usually, we brought our own lunches to school. Of course we could order milk and chocolate milk from the school if we wanted to, too.

BTW, there are actual water fountains here, too. Well, in the parks at least. You're referring to those huge sinks outside the bathrooms right? I see them primarily used for washing your face..esp. to cool down from heat or washing hands...and tho, some kids use it to drink water....I don't think they really think of it as only a water fountain.

I've played the Harry Potter game before. It's fun and quite a workout. At least I think you played the same HP game that I played.:p

What in the world is this 'harry potter game'? *lost*

(Damnit, still on computer) I liked the other version better, because the background for this one could be anywhere, not just Japan. It could be Missouri. and that's just not cool and exciting like Japan is :PPPPP hurr hurr *drops on top of keyboard*
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on June 22nd, 2005 08:09 pm (UTC)
LOL I only like this one because it's lighter. But I still really want Sakuras..

Mage? What've you been levelling on? o.O; Mages don't really need tanks. XD Just go to Clock tower and rape the clocks/alarms.

I'd tank you if I still have my account. My friend lend it to someone else and they took all my good gears. >F
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on June 22nd, 2005 08:12 pm (UTC)
EHHHH??!!!! CLOCK TOWER??!!! Just one hit from pretty much anything and I'm dead. I can't go alone into places like that, and my spells don't kill anything with one shot.

Glad you're feeling better! Bleeding (or the cessation thereof) is always stress-relieving. :D

Ah, here are some sakura pictures... but they're from tokyo, so the quality never gets -too- good.. (saturation tool!)

--And good luck levelling your character too.. *hates that part of gaming*

By Ragnarok Online you mean iRO, right? I've been meaning to pay for my account again soon, and although I can't tank you I have an Aco in the 40s/30s(base/job). We could help each other out. ;3

What is the "Harry Potter game"?
Chiakichiaki777 on June 22nd, 2005 06:48 pm (UTC)
Japanese otaku are interesting to watch, they are! XD

And Harry Potter is sexy, Especially Prof. Hebi ^_^

AWE =D Little kids are just so cute <3 Also it's good to know that the depression you were going through was mainly due to it being that time of the month ^^ I know that I usually get down around then, but it's good that you're getting back to your normal swing (does that mean I can talk to you on aim again =O?.-. cuz I tend to get a bit down when I don't hear from you .-.) Also good luck on finding someone to tank you in RO =D
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on June 22nd, 2005 08:18 pm (UTC)
*hugs* I'll try to be online more... but the reason that I wasn't was that I can't do anything when I get online. I can't draw or watch anime, so I just kind of.. waste time. (When I don't have any to waste.. >.>) But I have Friday off, so I'll try to get online for a while! ^__^
