Still hanging out in Japan.. In all honesty I like the place, I just don't like being lonely. ^.^;; I like having my personal space, but I prefer to know that there is someone close to me that's just a short jump away. ^^ You know what I mean? Looooooooonely... *grabs all of her friends and whisks them over*

LOL yesterday was quite the adventure. I asked my coworkers how to use the ATMs to take money out, and they told me the general idea (since I can't read the buttons), but then one of them stressed that there was an English button on the machine....... Noooooope, no english button. -_-;; But I did manage to randomly guess the right buttons until it spit out monies. XDD Whee! My next effort will be to figure out how to connect that account to my paypal account. I know that I have to be able to do it, since NOVA does direct deposits into the account, so it must be a checking account..

Eda and I have plans for Sunday night/Monday morn that should hopefully help some of the loneliness ^.^;;, and then Nicole and I have plans for the following Monday to hit the town. That should be fun too!! aalfonso, we need to get together and plan something too! Are you free on Tuesday?

I've been thinking about halloween a lot. It's a Sunday, so I'll be working, but I want to dress up anyways. I keep getting a "no" when I ask, but to hell with them. If I can find a costume that doesn't break the dress code then it shouldn't be a problem! ^___^ Aaaaand, it just so happens that the costumes from the third Harry Potter movie don't break the dress code! So I'm going to try for that! *grins* I'll just leave off the robe and only wear that outside of classes, if I have it at all. I need to get a sewing machine if I'm going to make that, so we'll see.. I'll have to go out and look tomorrow after work since I get out early. Basically I would just be wearing a knee-length ish pleated gray skirt and a button-up white dress shirt with a tie. Plus socks and loafers. ^.^ Easy! The dress code for women states that we must wear a shirt with a collar (or a jacket) and either socks or pantyhose at all times, and those are the ONLY stipulations. Heh. I could almost get away with a PoT costume (because of the collar), but probably not, since it's not dressy enough. Anyways, I'm going to do that.. must find out where to buy a sewing machine next.

Oh, and I've been downloading series like nobody's business... I'm downloading season one of Dead Like Me and Joan of Arcadia, and my old favorite SeaQuest DSV. I need to return to watching anime, man.. I might do that before I go to work this morning if I have time, or I might just succumb to the urge to watch the end of Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban again.. >.>;;; I watched the first half of the DVD rip last night just to relive it, and the rest is begging for my attention! ^^;; I guess we'll see how fast I can get ready for work!! O_O

Oh, and I've started playing Ragnarok Online and Myst III:Exile again. Oooooooo, I really want to get Myst 4 now!! *eyes the advertisement* I think I'll order it off Ebay once I figure out how to work this bank account thing..

Whoo! Dead Like Me and SeaQuest! --Well, the first 2 seasons of SeaQuest, at least. The third season wasn't as good since they were trying to kill the series by then.

By the way, you did register for absentee voting, right??? Must help us defeat the most evil person currently alive!

Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on October 1st, 2004 08:18 am (UTC)
I did when I got my driver's license renewed, but I don't know if I'm going to get my ballot in time... I hope so! O_O

Heheee, and yeah SeaQuest rocks!!!! It did kinda suck the last season, but I'd still buy the DVD set if it came out!!

Mmmm monies.... Why don't you try a bank and pointing to your account and an amount of cash to withdraw. ^_^ My friend did that by pointing to his Visa card and scribbled an amount he wanted.

I would not mind being there, but I am here.

No I didn't see Wimberton after all.

Hooray, Exile! Have you finished and are re-playing, or just now finishing?

Yeah, moving away from everyone you know sucks. But knowing you, you'll make lots of new friends. ;>

Very brave of you to try an ATM. I'd go to a teller. ^_^;

They have school on Sunday? Do they even have a weekend? :/
Maybe you should encourage your class to dress up a little. Assuming it's allowed, of course.

Back on Rag? :3 Now I gotta get a new AIM screen-name(I never figured out my password ^_^; ).
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on October 1st, 2004 08:22 am (UTC)
O_O A teller would be worse.. O_O I can't speak japanese, but at least an ATM doesn't try and talk back to me..... O_O;;;

Our school has classes every day of the week, but it's a private school, so it's a little different. All we do is teach english lessons, we don't teach anything else (except a few big branches teach french/german/chinese too) I won't know who my students on Halloween are until the morning I go in. ^^

It's sad how Jonathan Brandis killed himself... I used to swoon over him when I was younger... *sigh* after he left... no more eye candy on Seaquest!

Yeah, ATM machines. .. I usually just use the english button, because it proceeds to air this immensely LOUD english voice, and everyone in the bank turns heads and goes "WTF?!" Fun stuff!

But anyway, I am really impressed about the costume thing! I bet most japanese offices would be pretty pissed/annoyed about that. Then again, you work at GEOS, right, so you should be ok! Have fun!! and make sure to bug everyone!!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on October 1st, 2004 08:33 am (UTC)
I work at NOVA, not GEOS. XD Not that it really matters to me, though my supervisor would blow a gasket to hear someone mess up. XD She got all upset that a new student had previously studied at Berlitz, it was rather amusing. XDD

My ATM didn't have an english button. I was sad. T_T I'll find one eventually that does! XDD I can't wait to dress up though! I'm not going to tell anyone right away and just see if they notice. XD

That is going to be very very funny. Have a good time!

Who's in Dead Like Me? I don't think I've heard of that one. Is it an HBO show?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on October 2nd, 2004 02:43 am (UTC)
*nodnod* It's either HBO or Showtime, I can't remember... but it's gotten rave reviews, so I want to go ahead and give it a try. ^__^
Saeriskippytoad on October 2nd, 2004 07:57 am (UTC)
I know EXACTLY how you feel in terms of the loneliness. *hugs* *see <http://www.livejournal.com/users/skippytoad>my journal</a>* Good luck in making new friends!

Hee, Suprnova is my own personal new free TiVo. I use it to get all my shows since I'm never here to watch them. If you want more show suggestions, lemme know! ^.~
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on October 2nd, 2004 05:11 pm (UTC)
Oh, I definitely do!! ^__^

Ooo, okay, here's a couple:

--ALIAS: B/c, c'mon, Jennifer Garner is teh hotttt. But seriously, it's a really cool serious -- lots of girl-kicking-butt-action
--SIX FEET UNDER: Really dark and kinda down, but it definitely makes you think. I like the storylines quite a bit, and the characters are really intriguing. Dead Like Me gets compared to this a lot
--ANGELS IN AMERICA: It's a mini-series, but if you haven't DLed and seen it yet, DO IT
--WONDERFALLS: It was cancelled, but it's one of the best shows that's been on TV in the past 5 years. Definitely DL all 12 episodes. There might be a movie made of this, a la Firefly

A few I'm considering DLing: I just watched the premiere of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, which seems funny and intriguing; I shall prolly keep it up. I also have begun going through the Star Trek series; up to DS9 Season 2. I'll DL any Law and Order eps; love that show. Also, for giggles, I'm mad about my SCRUBS!! ^^

Lemme know what you think of those, and pls share your suggestions as well! ^^
