I simply cannot get the internet to work with this ISP on my computer, so I tried installing my mom's other ISP client... Only to run into the error "You have an unfinished setup running on your system that requires that you restart this computer. Please restart your computer before running this setup" when I tried to install.

Me: wtf?

I restarted just to check, though I hadn't installed anything for a while... Nope, I still get the same error. I try running a scandisk, but it won't run unless I schedule it when I restart again... So I do that, and restart, and have the scandisk run. It takes several hours (O_O;;;) so I grab The Lost World and continue reading it. When I finally hear it restarting, I come in and try to install the client. I get the same error............

Whatever... >.>;;; I don't know how to find out what unfinished setups are running on my computer (wtf???), if that's even the real problem. I can't find any info about it online. So... I guess that I don't have reliable internet on my computer atm... Damn, I want to yell at something for that, because I want to finish my yummy RP with alsie, and every time that I hook up my computer to watch more PoT, I get so annoyed over the internet that I don't want to sit here anymore. Gaaaaaaaah..... X_x *maims dialup* Why can't everyone just have broadband??!!?! Oh right, it's not available way out here.. X_x

I did, though, get a chance to write a drabble for the first time. It's a weird little thing over at wk_100.. I've been meaning to write for that thing ever since it started. ^^;;

What ISP are you running?

With the possible exception of AOL virtually ANY dial up ISP will let you connect using ONLY the dial up networking soiftwaqre included with windows 9X/2000/XP

Call the ISP's tech support,.

It's NoCharge, which is this free service...... >.> Since they're free, they also charge $10 per call for tech support. X_x I guess I'll just have to suffer... oh well, I only have to stay here for another week anyway ^_^
