I'm not sure Bush understands what the Constitution IS. He probably got a C in social studies.

Hi, I stumbled across your journal and can't help but comment on this..

From The Washington Post (listed as one of the sources of this totally off-base article):

"In 1998, President Bill Clinton issued an executive order, which President Bush has not rescinded, saying it is unlawful to discriminate against employees based on their sexual orientation, Kaplan said. The order focused attention on the need to provide greater education to employees, she said."

Bush has not rescinded, so it's still an executive order, and that article is completely baseless. It seems they are drawing a conclusion from the fact because they took down the information about discrimination or something. I doubt the President has the power to just wave his hand and make that kind of discrimination legal. =P Stuff is just under particular scrutiny now because of the civil movement now.

here is where I found it

While I agree with you that it's important to note the article in question may be jumping to conclusions, I think it's equally important to note the dangers of removing sexual-orientation discrimination from these websites. It says this in the paragraph following the one you copired and pasted:

"It is a matter of great concern that -- as its first step -- the new leadership of OSC is sanitizing all of agency's public statements, including the complaint form and its educational materials for the purpose of removing references to sexual orientation discrimination," Kaplan said.
