♪Happy Birthday♪
to meeeeeeeee! =^-^=

It's super-hot out these days.. hot enough to fry karaage.. or if you found a hole in the cement, I think that you could make Takoyaki! Geeeeeeeeeeeh.... I've been really, really insanely focusing on my new manga. I'm going to bring this one into Shueisha when it's finished... and I have really high hopes! But only time will tell!! (The story so far has gotten a really good reaction)

But I have a confession.... remember how I used to post tons of pictures, all of the time? Well, I talked about it before, but my old camera finally bit the dust and I've been saving up for a new, professional one. My salary is really low, but I've been scrimping and saving, eating just the basics, all to make my first pro camera happen! But every time I manage to save even the slightest, something huge comes up suddenly. Some emergency. So back to zero I go.

So.... I decided the only way to do it is to make one huge go at it, and ask for help! Since it's my birthday this month, and I want to make things happen, for people willing to help me out, I'm going to give one, randomly-selected person, one of my original artworks (a super-rare thing! I've never, ever given an original art piece to someone outside of birthday/family). One day, you might be able to sell it for quite a bit, you never know!


Details: I'm asking for your help... out of the goodness of your heart, in leiu of a birthday present, because you want to see me succeed, no matter the reason, I will be really, really grateful! I promise to post a TON of pictures of all manner of things from Japan on my blog afterwards, from here on until... forever! :D

This is my character Maigo, the star of a personal project that I'm working on (which I also need a camera for.. .it's pretty ambitious!). The project is called Denkiki, and as it's on the backburner while I work on my manga, she is one of my title characters. I offered this as a print in the past-- this is the original artwork!!

Specifications: It's roughly 18x24 cm, done on thick professional watercolor paper. It is drawn with ink, copic markers, and some white ink for highlights.
