(September is) A trip down memory lane...!!!
I just now realized that as of this September..

(4th) I will have had this livejournal for 8 years. (I didn't POST in it until October, but that's beside the poit, lol) Does anybody remember back when you needed an invite from a member just to create a journal? And when lj was "never going to have ads"? My god, I'm old..

(16th) I will have been in Japan for 6 years. And we all know how that turned out! Er, well... I am still here! I nearly 6 years, I have left the coutry a grand total of three times (Once to visit family/friends, once to visit China, and once to go to Anime Expo). I guess I must like it here..

(3rd) 4 years since I went to the Meguro Parasitological Museum. LOL, not exactly an important date, but I wanted to post about Tokyo's most popular date spot (alas, I went alone).

(29th) Three years since I first read Eclipse. Oh, the things we consider important. Hey, I like my pointless badly-written published fanfic as much as anyone else! =D What can I say, I'm an incurable romantic... =D;;; (Oh, how glad am I that I Bella finally got to finally have sex with Edward in the last book.. XD Was looking forward to that for years!)

(24th) Two years since I started working for Konomi-sensei (I've quit but it's still the 2-year anniversary ^^) This was one of the biggest turning points in my life, I think.. and to be honest, I was scared spitless. I also worked very, very hard.. harder than I've ever worked for anything. And for the first time, I really thought... maybe it IS possible for me to be a mangaka. I mean really, really, truly possible. (I have low self-cofidence, but I try to cover it up most of the time..)

(27th) One year since I first tried the world's hottest pepper. Yes, this is important too. =D

Of course, it is still June. But I just wanted to say those things. It's really been on my mind lately-- how much the world around me has changed, and how much I have changed as well. What am I going to add to the list this September, I wonder? (It will have been 6 months since I first met my current BF, so hopefully there will be something good to say regarding that ^^)

Amazing what people can think of as important but if its something you look back on and it holds significance then it really is important !!! and you very talented so have more confidence in yourself >U< you'll do well (makes me wonder will I ever make it in performing arts but looking at how you have achieved so much makes me want to push and work my absolute hardest to achieve my goals)

have fun making more beautiful memories >U< ♥

ooh~
I think this is a nice list of accomplishments to look back to :D

I saw that you commented and deleted the comment on facebook about my rather nasty comment about Robert Pattinson aka Edward... I just want to say that I do NOT mind the series itself and that it's just the really annoying fans that have driven me away from there and have also driven me up the wall... *sigh* seriously, friends suddenly fighting about who's in "Team Jacob" or "Team Edward" is a really bad party-pooper... and I swore to myself not to touch that series just...because ... -_-" I might be missing out on something but really, I'd rather not... :X and the bottom line is... I just thought that status message was amusing and I wanted to rub it into a couple of people's faces...

Can't believe it's been so long...really...and that I met you for the first time back in 2005 (January) when you were still well, more or less new in the country of the rising sun... :3

it's scary and yet interesting to see how time passes...my dad still doesn't want to believe that I'm turning 23 this year...I'm still his little girl... (my sister is 11 years older than me)

I wish you lots of success with your future plans and I hope I'll be able to accompany you for a long time to come as well, hopefully in person again at some point! *working on it*

Eh, deleted? But I didn't delete it.... I even checked just now and it's still there. Maybe there was some sort of glitch? And I knew what you meant, I was just giving you a hard time ^^

Oh my... you want to know a (sort of) secret? I was so excited when you wrote those fanfics and dedicated them to me, that I told everyone in the office. It cheered me up so much, in a time when I was really down and sure I would leave Japan soon. Of course, nobody there cared anything for Tenipuri, so they didn't really listen to me, lol.

ah...well FB is weird over here sometimes... ^^;
he's a vampire, he can't die from...jumping off a bulding... well edward at least, not robert pattinson... and really, I liked him as cedric in harry potter :)

aw ♥ that makes me really happy! I'm happy if I can make other people happy...okay that was too much happy in the last two sentences? *haha*

mh...here's an interesting question, when you publish your own manga...what would be YOUR uptake on fanfiction about your manga? would you be super protective of your work like JK Rowling and other authors of books or would you be very tolerant like basically the Japanese with their culture of doujinshi? :)
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on June 18th, 2010 05:00 pm (UTC)
I would be so flattered if people made fanfic and doujinshi about my work! In fact, I hope that they would send me a copy!! I'd probably dance around the room in joy, lol! And then show all of my friends =D

I'll be keeping my eyes open for cosplayers ;)

Although you don't know me, I just wanted to say that this post is definitely a sort of inspiration for me, because it makes me think that I want to have these sort of good things to look back on and say I have accomplished this! I wish I could get over my inferiority complex too, and just go out and do the things that I need to do in order to achieve my dreams instead of just thinking and pondering about them all the time. Like how I want to make games, but how I'm not sure if it really pays enough and if I could actually get to the level where it pays well. Congrats on all those landmarks, and I hope things work out well with the current BF! :)
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on June 18th, 2010 05:02 pm (UTC)
Thank you!

If you don't mind, I do have one thing that I'd like to say-- that is that doing a job that you love is way more important than earing a lot of money. So, even if it doesn't seem like it's going to pay well, go for it anyways!! It will make you a lot happier than never having tried at all.

Wow I can't believe it's been this long I have been reading your journal. I still remember reading your trip to China! It's been that long already?? Gah we're both getting old... And your pondering on whether to work for Konomi-sensei or not. I'm glad that you chose to take that risk because if you haven't then I don't know what you'll be doing now >_< It's better to take risks than not :D Also because you did that, you got lj-spotlight too! And there goes another problem (f-list and stuff) :P Hahah September seems to be your month! Even though your birthday is one month before. Overall I'm glad to know that you are succeeding in Japan Jamie! Time does go by and come through :)

(September is) A trip down memory lane...!!!
listen, ms. punkette, don`t give that crap about being old!
I haven`t been reading you for 8 years... but I enjoy being able to see a bit of the world through your eyes... and am anticipating your next adventure.

Holy crap ~ eight years? I think I've only had mine for about two or three years - eight years is quite a milestone :) Well done! :D

I've fallen out of the Twilight fandom (lol on the badly-written fanfic) for a bit (mostly because of the crazy fans), but I may get back into it once I see Eclipse. I dunno - but you won't see me screaming at the screen - I'm a little more private than that. :D

I would love to go to Japan - I'm a serious Japanophile (well, with anything Asian really) it all sounds so cool when you write about it ^_^

It's crazy how long it's been, when you really stop to think about it. I think my journal will be 10 in early February-! And didn't we meet when I was in my senior year of h.s. (or whenever Weiss Diaries was at it's best) kgjhfg Time flies.

As a side-note, you'd probably enjoy a convo with my mom. She LOVES Twilight lmao She hasn't read the books, but she does like the movie, and is so cute/hilarious whenever Pattinson is on talk-shows & such. XD; I tease her all the time about it. Kinda cool how she's into vampires now, though-! Haha. ♥

Yeah, I think it was WD that brought us together? =D =D =D Either way, it's been a long time, sis!

Your house is one of the first places on my list whenever I get back to Washington for a visit. ^^ I'll come and make your family all a japanese dinner or something! ^^

Oh the invite days! The forum I used to frequent was dying down, and all the folk seemed to be moving to LJ, so I accepted and invite code, but it me a while to warm up to LJ.

Never say never!

I will have been in Japan for 6 years.

As a newer follower of your LJ, what was it that prompted you to move and was it going to be "just a couple years" or was it a planned long term move at the time? I'm just curious.
Chiakichiaki777 on June 19th, 2010 12:52 am (UTC)
Oh man, it's been that long hasn't it? I've known you for like.... 7 years... Wow.

I'd say you got a lot more Junes filled with things coming your way though.
Freytsuki_fru on June 19th, 2010 01:24 am (UTC)
XD!! I remember the journal invite!
Mewgokumew2 on June 19th, 2010 03:00 am (UTC)
Haha, yes, I remember when you needed an invite code to join LJ. X.D My journal is turning 9 in late September.

Our LJ user ID numbers are under a million. X.DDD Now it's in the 10s of millions, haha.

Wow! Your LJ and mine have the same birthday, just the year is different. I started mine in 2004 :)
