Cirque du Soleil
I went to see Cirque Du Soleil for the first time yesterday!! We went to see the Tokyo-only exclusive show, Zed. My editor at Asahi weekly and our sweet photographer all went. Afterwards, I interviewed Zed (what a great guy!) and we were treated to a backstage tour. Wow, I mean, wow..!!

I feel so inspired! I have wanted to see Cirque for so many years, and I am definitely a fan now! Recommended forever and ever!
Elvy, whenever you visit Japan, I'll take you to see the show for sure!

There will be more in my Asahi article in May. I know it's a long time to wait, but it will be a great article!! I'll let you all know when it comes out! I can't wait to see the pictures of me and some of the other performers on stage!! *wakuwaku*

But just in general, something as grande as Cirque is so inspiring.. being able to create something so extravagant, whether with your body or with your designs or with your direction, is just amazing! I can't recommend it more! (well, I can, and will continue to!)

Right now, I must head off to get some kerosene for my heater. It's so cold out and such a long trek, it's really basically torture. But torture is also being inside of my apartment with the other three heaters running and it's still only 13 degrees Celsuis inside (with this heater it can only get to 20 or so, so it's still cold but not as bad). x.x So coooooooooold. I am definitely going to go to Capoeira class tonight, if just to get out of the cold!

This past summer I went to Tokyo and we decided to see Zed. Truly one of the most magical and inspiring things I've ever seen. <3

I know what you mean. I got to see Dralion some years ago and it's still vivid in my memories. Cirque definitely has great shows and it's very inspirational. they actually came out with a book on their costumes this year for their 25th anniversary.

Wow, I still have not seen a single Cirque du Soleil show to this date. I've wanted to, and I have been places where they were preforming- but no one wanted to attend with me. Seeing this just inspires me to do so.
It must have been amazing. ^_^

Jamie! You are SO lucky!!! :O
I've been a Cirque du Soleil fan for so many years and never been able to watch a show live, and you ever got to be backstage!

Hi Jamie!! ^____^
I have been a reader of your blog for a long time now. One question I always wanted to ask you: what is the point of life? Don't you ever ask yourself if you have a purpose, or are you living simply because you were born? I have read somewhere that you are born, breed, and die. That certainly is not a happy thought when you think about it...

You seem such an energetic person, maybe that's why ... maybe such questions don't bother you because you are always doing something, and don't have the time for such silliness...

Re: Hi Jamie!! ^____^
I wonder about those things sometimes, like I'm sure that everyone does, but if there is an answer it's certainly not me that has it. ^^

My life is what I make of it. It's also bound to be too short to do everything, so I have to do as many things as possible while I still can!

I am so happy that Taiwan is near Japan because reading your journal makes me want to hop on a plane now! haha. =)

I know it's off topic, but I love your cheekbones. xD

Sorry. I know.

I like the shows, they are best viewed live :) I've only seen "Zumanity" while I was in Las Vegas.

Oh, oh, oh! Cirque du Soleil! I went to their summer show in 2008 in New York... (I think?) called KOOZA and it was just so beautiful! *was also a newbie*

I've always wanted to run away and join the circus (cliche I know, but I love the colors and the energy), but going to Cirque really solidified it for me. Next time I go, I want to buy one of their super-duper big umbrellas.

So what was the Tokyo-only show like?

A backstage tour! Oh wow! I so envy you. I always wanted to see the inner workings of such an awesome show. And your photo with Zed... What's your no. 1 fave part?

At least this week, it was warm, wasn't it? Spring is just around the corner.

風邪引かないように気をつけましょう!
