*☆*☆*☆*☆*☆Tokyo Disneyland*☆*☆*☆*☆*☆
Yesterday was the last of my planned Summer excursions... Tokyo Disneyland! For almost three years, I've been meaning to have a crack at this place, but the "Pirates Extravaganza" they advertised all over is what finally sealed the deal!

I went with Eda, and I think that, for the first time in weeks, I really truly enjoyed myself. Hanging out with her is so effortless and comfortable, it's great. =^__^= And despite the intense sun and heat (oww sunburn!) and somewhat crowded aspect (I'm sure it was better than last week though), we still managed to do everything that we wanted to do! One thing that I found odd was that everyone raves about the fast passes, but I thought they kind of sucked. I could only get one about every 2 hours, the best rides didn't have them (like PotC), and they stopped at around 3 pm! They're no good if they stop so early I could barely use them.. And because of them, most lines were moved out into the hot sun rather than be inside the buildings like usual. They really need to be managed better.

We first went on the newly revamped Pirates of the Caribbean ride!! It was SO much better than before (well, assuming that it was the same here as the one in California before). I'd always liked that one, but it was nothing compared to this! There was Captain Jack (three times!), Barbosa, and even this funky 3-D Davy Jones in the mist! Ooooh, it was soooo cool!! I'm such a PotC nerd. ^^; I even bought a Captain Jack bandanna/beads set later on (well, so did a lot of people, but..).

After that, we went on a ton of rides-- Big Thunder Mtn, Space Mountain, etc, which were pretty much exactly the same as their American Counterparts. Usually the soundtracks were all in english too!! There were a few exceptions, but I wondered if people who couldn't understand english (almost everyone) were kind of lost..? Some things that we went on that I've never been on before were Pooh's Hunny Hunt (I heard this was Tokyo only? But it was ALL in english....... I might have heard wrong?) I wouldn't have went on it if I hadn't heard that it was really cool... Only... it was just.. weird. o.o;; Like, really, really strange. It's supposed to be based off of a scene of Pooh's dream from the cartoon, but it was WAY stranger than the cartoon. It was exactly what I'd imagine someone tripping on acid or some psychedelic mushrooms would think of. I'm not sure if it was interesting, or just disturbing?? The Buzz Lightyear ride was pretty fun. I got a ton of points, only to find out that even though I beat all of the people that I could see, it was still way far from the max score possible. ;_; NEXT TIME!! (I say that even though I doubt that I'll go back anytime soon if at all. I want to go to Disney Sea next! Can't afford it though..)

Eda had heard me describe Space Mountain (it's best if you sit in the front, btw) and how it's my favorite at California Disneyland, so we lined up for it with hopefully just enough time to get through and go see the Pirate show. But to our immense upset, it broke down!! We had already waited an hour and they gave us vouchers for priority seating to any ride in the park. But we'd already gone on all of the good ones! ;_; So we went to eat and then to the Pirate show. After waiting for it to start they sunndenly announced that because it was too windy, they weren't going to show it today! That was all!! We were so upset!!! We wandered around for a while, went on Honey I Shrunk the Audience (so old!!) because our feet hurt, and finally (it was several hours later by this point), checked Space Mountain and they'd just opened back up! Yaaaay!! Went on that and it was as awesome as ever, and then headed back towards the entrance... and there was an announcement, "The Wet and Wild Pirate Night show is about to start soon!" WHAAAT? When they'd cancelled it before, they hadn't said anything about showing it later, so we (me especially) were ecstatic! Eda wanted to stay near the back, but I wormed through the people until I was almost at the very front. It was weird, because near the back the people were pressed so hard I couldn't squeeze through them until they moved, but up front there was plenty of room to maneuver. I guess some people didn't want to get wet? I'm not sure why though, considering that even though it was night, it was still in the 80s or 90s. I'm glad that I went up front though, because.. it was SO AWESOME!! Certainly the best thing that I've ever seen in Disneyland, ever! =D =D =D Oh maaan! I thought this was only done in Tokyo Disneyland, but a lot of the dialogue and all the songs were in english, so I wonder... Anyways, when they said that we were going to get wet, they were right! I was soaked to the skin!! All of the water shot up into the air landed on us like heavy rain! It was soooooo awesome, sort of like being in a wild rain-dance with tons of other people all jumping and singing. <3 Pirates love!!

I found videos of the "Wet and Wild Pirate Night" performance on YouTube.. Imagine all of that water falling on you, that's how soaked I was!!! =D;;
Part 1:

Part 2:

The entrance sign at night..

The exit of the newly revamped Pirates of the Caribbean. All of my pictures inside came out blurry, though. ;_;

Some pictures from the Jungle Cruise. ^^ I've always liked that ride for some reason. Though my camera was having troubles (I think it's getting worn out) and even though it was full daylight, most of the other pictures came out blurry..

Some pictures from the Star Wars experience (same as in Ca).

In the inside portion of the line for Pooh's Hunny Hunt. The giant book pages were really cool. ^^

I wanted this hat, but it was expensive.. ;_;

Hahahahaaa!! Mickey is ready to... receive... XD;;

Some shots of the Pirate show, before I put away my camera because it was gonna get soaked..

And afterwards it was left this way until we left the park..

And next I want to go to Disney Sea!! Only, I'm out of funds for the summer, so I guess it will have to wait until next summer. ;_;

You put Disneyland as the last stop for your vacation. Smart. <3

Wish I could have vacations like yours. xD

OMG

Disney Land + PotC = best thing ever

that just made me more upset that I ended up not going to Disney Florida this year x3

same thing happened to me when I lined up for Space mountain in Disney HK, except no voucher x3

glad you had fun though

I don't remember when I went on the Winnie the Pooh ride at Disneyworld, but yeah, it's definitely not Japan only. Lol.

I LOVE the Buzz Lightyear ride. When I'm in that one dark room ('cept for red laser beams), heading to the final one, I always ALWAYS put my cart on full spin because it makes me dizzy. :D~ I guess I like to give myself a hard time in the final room. xD

Man... it's been a while since I've been to DW, though I've been there four times and went on a Disney Cruise. x3

We need to lunch (or something else posh-sounding) someday here, cause you need to help me when it comes to jobs. Where to go and so on! XD Ifthatsok?

Yep, it's toally okay! ^__^ I'm pretty busy this week, but I have plenty of time next week to sit down with you if you like! There's actually a few places that I really want to go. ^^

Yay! Great! Thanks~ ^^
I need to either prolong with school or get a job, and since my school costs 600.000 yen / year, I rather not... Ugh.

Puroland..? I am very intrigued..!!

I'm really looking forward to Disney Sea. I may not be able to go there until next Spring, but either way, I think that it will be great!! And I had already made the plans to go on this day, so knowing myself, I knew that the best way to cheer myself up was to get with longtime friends and go let loose! I'm glad I went, I had a really good time!!

Do you have any other suggestions as to cheap things to do that I might not have done? I'm running out of time and I want to seriously draw, but I would definitely like to experience some more interesting things before the summer's end. ^__^

When I was five my family went to Disney World and of course, went on Space Mountain. At five years old, sitting in the very front car... I was scarred for life rofl

What a small world. Disney in Japan? I didn't know that! Man, I am so slow on these things lately. You should come to Disney World, and the other theme parks in Florida (whenever you have loads and loads of money). ♥

Beautiful pictures! I love the last picture. Its so pretty!

Wow Tokyo Disneyland seems pretty neat ^^ Then again I've always loved Disney themeparks. <3

Seems like the pirate show is a similar set-up to the Wicked show at Universal Studios Japan - dialogue in Japanese, songs in English. Wish I could've seen that!

omg, i was there all the day the same day and didn't meet you! 0__0

i love fast passes, and having fun in TDL is all about time management :)
it was pretty crowded, but we didn't spent too much time in lines. may be, 2-3 times (about 30-40 minutes).

and, about Pirates show - it was scheduled two times, but they didn't know until the last minute, if they can do it at 9pm. it was amazing, i loved it too! too bad we were at the right side, so there was no water for us :))

and, we waited for the Space Mountain (they did it until 10-30 or more), and got on it again :)
