Atashi no chosen~~☆
I went to Sizzlers with Eda and Erin last night. <3 I loooove Sizzlers. Well, in Japan I do. I didn't care for it overly much when I was in America because there is so much better in the price range. But here there isn't a whole enormous lot to choose from. ^^;;

I've been feeling more and more like I need to take a break from life in Japan and travel. I want to go back to see my friends in America (have to wait for September, but at least it will definitely happen ^^), and I want to see some new places in the world. I've been wondering if maybe I'm not going to spend the rest of my life here after all. I definitely am going to publish manga and make lots of money, but I guess what I'd really like is to be able to spend half of my time in Japan, and half travelling, part of which will be in America. So in other words, taking plane rides as if they're just drives. Maybe I will buy my own plane one day and it will work out to be more economical. That would be awesome. ^^ One day I guess I'll be rich! Or innovative, or something equally awesome. ^^ A personal transporter would be the best fix, I think.

Today I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3 for the second time. I liked it just as much the second time around! The look on Jack's face when Will is **** still gives me shivers. My favorite part. When a movie can move me in some way, and when I feel as if a character is *real*, then it really steals my heart. ^^

The japanese girls outside the stall that I was trying on clothes in said that it was really rare to see a dragonfly like that. Sugooooi.. ^^ Ami has good eyes, seeing it buzzing around like that. ^^

I should take pictures of the all-you-can-eat salad bar. That's why I go at least. ^^

This is my room. ^^ I'm going to fill it up with furniture one of these days. ^^

And some more pictures of Nessie. She's really growing!! I'm really looking forward to being able to pick her out a collar. ^^ I think that I'll name all of my pets after fantastic animals from now on. ^^ (It beats "Miaka", who is my plant living downstairs. I luv her though ^^)

It looks like if I can swing it monetarily, the trip to OPJ (other parts Japan) this summer is going to become a reality. I really hope, at least!! *crosses fingers* I'm going to save all of my extra money to be able to afford it. <3

Awww... Nessie's so sweet! And her eyes! It seems as if there's this playful twinkle inside. Or maybe it's just me... ^^|||

Buhuu~ I wish I had time to watch PotC3 even ONCE! But I didn´t (._.) .. I also missed Spiderman3. I hope I can at least manage to go to the new Harry Potter movie ;__; ....

I could understand what you mean. It's difficult sure to live on a place and the friends and family are on an other faraway. But I think there is two sides of the same coin - you have friends in Japan and you do your best to realise your dream of future. I respect you for your courage and ambition.
Your living room is nice but it's not a japanese bed o.O Nessie looks like miya who is quick at moment.
Please don't give up ^___^V greetings from Germany

It actually is a japanese futons (6 of them) stacked up on top of a bed frame, because I don't have a mattress. I wish that I did. I can't stand japanese beds, I think that they're so uncomfortable!!

Oh! The kitty looks so adorable. I plan on traveling one day especially in Asia and Europe. My sister wants to see the world cup soccer game in South Africa. ♥

*hugs* Your room looks wonderful! And the kitty is absolutely adorable!

I hear you about traveling. It's why I'm working so hard to get the job with my old company. I want to be able to travel again; I miss it SOOO much!

I hope we get to chat soon! ♥

Awwww, Nessie looks so adorable still :DDD

You know, I've never been to Sizzler's before. I wonder if I'm missing out XDDD

And just randomly, I was wondering what teaching program you started out with because a couple of my friends want to go to Japan next year to teach English. And since you're like a pro at it now, I was wondering what you did :D They're only going for a year, I think. Anyway, any tips on that would be awesome :DDD

I think that the company that I used to work for is going to go out of business now. I'd suggest that they just look around, maybe ask the people in the eikaiwa community. They're always happy to help there. ^^

Thanks for the tips, I'll be sure to send them over to that community :D

We had a Sizzler here where I live, but then they renamed it Village Steakhouse, but it's still all the same food.

Ness looks great. I'm glad she's getting better. So playful too. ^_^ She must really love that bag. I do too. What kind is it?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 1st, 2007 09:29 pm (UTC)
^_^ It's my friend's bag, so I have no idea, gomen!

Oh my! I know what you mean about that part on PoTC. I was stunned at it, and the expression on Sparrow's face really was fitting. :3 I've only seen the movie once, though, so I'll probably have to go and re watch it to catch some things I missed!

:D Nessie is adorable! I've been considering getting a cat for a while, but my Mother is completely against them. :[

I actually like your room. xD Simple--my room has too much furniture. Just enough so that I bump into things and hurt myself. T-T

Oh, and lastly, hello! My name is Rohan! :D Stumbled upon your Livejournal and you seem terribly interesting! ^-^+Adds+

Sucks that I won't be able to see you when you visit. I probably won't be back "home" until Thanksgiving or Christmas. Both if I can save up the vacation. Anyway, you'll just have to give a call when you're back in the states.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 1st, 2007 09:31 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I probably won't be in the tri-cities at all in any case, so even if you were back there, I wouldn't be able to make it. ;__; (Probably going to be in Seattle area to see family, and then in Phoenix for the convention and friends). But I will definitely give you a call!
Raynermundist on July 1st, 2007 09:40 pm (UTC)
Wow, it's a good thing I don't live in the T-C then. Otherwise I'd know where I stand. =P Joking!

Even being only 8 hours away I know I have to figure out exactly who I can see and for how long when I do go back to visit. I can't even imagine what it would be like in your shoes when you can't just jump in a car and make a drive if necessary.

Sucks feeling like I gotta "rank" people for time, but that's just the nature when you only have a small (relatively) amount to play with. Guess ya just gotta hope people enjoy the time you do have to spend and understand the choices you make (that's a general "you" by the way).

Again, just another excuse to go see you some time in the future (not a general "you"...heh).
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on July 2nd, 2007 12:52 pm (UTC)
You definitely have to come and visit in the future!!! *hugs*

Yeah, I really hate having to decide whom I can see and whom I can't. It's not ranking per se, but mostly based on money. ;__; The purpose of coming to America in September is to see the convention in Phoenix that my friends are running, and to visit them. But my mom is really pressing for me to visit up that way as well. I'm not sure how I'll be able to make it yet, but I think that it might work out. I would give anything to be able to visit the Tri Cities also, but since I won't have a car it's almost impossible (but then again.. maybe I can bribe my sister to drive me there or something!). Or even down to Oregon sometime. ^^ Oh man, I wish that I had a car waiting!!

Heya Jamie! Don't know if you really care about this, but if you want more info on the dragonfly you found ... I showed the pic to my entomologist boyfriend, who thinks it's a male of the species Oligoaeschna pryeri. That's in the darner family, Aeschnidae <http://www.odesforbeginners.com/family_guide/fam_darners.htm>. We both think it's lovely! :)

And your kitten is adorable. <3 <3

Your kitten is adorable <3 Where'd you get her? Forgive the pessimistic entry that the photos are found in, but here are pics of my Japanese kitties:
http://azusachan.livejournal.com/42671.html

I managed to find homes for 6 of them (there were originally 7), so now I just have one left, as well as another recruit who I rescued from Kamogawa (assumably someone had tried to drown him, as happens so often around here). My apartment doesn't allow pets, but I've just snubbed that rule and enjoyed having a flat full of kittens. Do you have any tatami rooms? Tatami-training kittens is a nightmare XD
azusachanazusachan on July 6th, 2007 01:33 am (UTC)
Scratch that, went back and read your previous post about the situation. It seems only gaijin pick up box kittens :D If you're going back to the US any time soon, I would strongly recommend picking up a dose of the cat flu vaccine. I can get the exact name of the product if you need it (I still have one in my fridge so I can vaccinate my last kitten when he's old enough). The vaccination costs 7000yen in Japan, but only $3 in the US. It needs to be refrigerated, but a friend of mine brought the vials over in a cooler bag on her flight, and they survived just fine. You don't have to give the cat an injection if you ask for the nasally administered variety. Just drip the vaccine into the nostrils of a healthy cat over the age of 12 weeks. I vaccinated all my kittens before I gave them away and I'm so glad I did, as cat flu (as you know) is the most common but one of the most dangerous infections cats in Japan face. The vaccination proved to be particularly important when I brought in a new kitten that had the flu. All my other cats were fine.

Sorry for the long comment, just thought I'd give you some info that could save you a lot of money and hassle in the future :3
