April thunderstorms bring May flowers...
Wooooooooow. Japan sure has some interesting weather.. Even now I'm still surprised on occasion.
I got out of the bathtub (taking a bath in the afternoon... weird I know) because I was afraid the power was going to go out. It's only 4 pm yes, but it's been dark all day with heavy clouds (and all yesterday too). But it didn't start raining until now. Heavy pounding rain and HUGE minute-long booms of thunder that shake the room. I haven't seen any lightning yet, but it's sure to be out there somewhere. Ahhh, it's so beautiful!! <3

Oh, and did I mention that the sky is TAN? Thanks to the dust storms still blowing over from China. It's really neat-looking.

Trees full of Sakura and now leaves.. I wonder if I will get a chance to hanami before they all fall off...

Tall building nearby. Gah the sky!! It looks so awesome!  Like a peanut-butter milkshake. <3

I love how you can't see the pouring rain in the pictures. LOL Photos are so weird that way. I think that I'm going to try to capture them, now!! :O

Wow, at first I thought you had used a sepia effect or something. You make me depressed that I'm not in Japan... : /

They really give off an effect like you're watching a movie or something. It's neat.

Isn't it? <3 It reminds me of those japanese horror movies that I love to watch. Like something's going to come out of the floor or ceiling and attack. o.o *hides* I'm glad that it's not dark yet!

Damn, that's...interesting-looking O=

Dust storms...? Sounds kinda scary :x

So so awesome!! I really love it. Especially because it's still light out but this is happening. So I can watch it. <3 Oh no, I have a really weak throat lining too (constant sore throat is a problem). I hope that it doesn't act up right now!

Yeah, I would love to! ^^

The cherry blossoms still manage to look beautiful in that weather XD

P.S Love it when you post/share photos of Tokyo. They're my favorite posts ^^

No filters... that's actually how it looked! o.o So weird!

Today it's bright blue though.. So blue that it's almost purple!

ooh, heavy rain! I love it that way! It puts me to sleep at night, lol.
I've never heard of dust storms before! Sounds interesting!

Chiba looks like that too. Man, This place feels more and more like home (Texas) every day. Still, today is the first time I've heard real thunder since I got here. It was kinda nice.

It was so scary! Of course I rode my bike to work today... @.@ I thought maybe it might get electrocuted, which would suck. Or maybe it'd be okay because of rubber tires. One or the other. :3

It was really rainy. I went to Hachijoji for hanami and we got caught in it :(

Wahhh, amazinggg! I'd be scared out of my wits if I was all alone, though. XD
Chiakichiaki777 on April 4th, 2007 03:28 pm (UTC)
Ohh, that is a very interesting mix, no doubt making it really odd for weather.

Wow, those are very great pictures, makes me quite nostalgic.

I myself love a heavy rain, when the sky goes oddly dark in the day and there is a feeling of anticipation, or dread, maybe both. We had some heavy rain here in IL yesterday, and now today it is below freezing (the flowers might survive the day, maybe...). Supposedly a while of the cold weather is coming.

Got the ももひき on today :)

You make Japan seem so awesome. :(

Yet another sight I have to see for myself in Japan. <3

O_O And I thought that Oklahoma had the patent down on dust storms and wacky weather. The weather people here are talking about a waterspout that happened about 370 miles west of Tokyo in the Sea of China yesterday. Since I am in Tornado Alley in the US..tan skies are usually a precursor of some freaky stuff is going to happen weatherwise. :/

Even though dust storms are not good for your health, they make the sky look so pretty. It looks like you photoeffect the pictures, but they're not and that's a cool thing. It's more natural that way ^.^.

Hmm, I'm sort of envious. I wish we had something like that, but the closest thing the sky will get to that is when there is a huge forest fire and even then, it makes the sky look orangey and snow-like flakes named ashes are piling down. How was the air during the leftover dust storm when you took the pictures?

By the way on your other post, when you mentioned "penii", I can't help but think that it's a penis event. Is what it is? And I'm surprise they have an event on the sexual parts of the anatomy considering they're rather more conservative than the most right-winged Republican.
