I have never opened up to take these kinds of commissions before, but finances are forcing me to. I'm behind on all of my bills, yipes! (Thankfully Japan doesn't cancel your public health insurance if you get behind! They just add fees o.o;; )

I'm almost constantly being asked about commissions, so, for the first (possibly only) time, ever, I'm going to take commissions! Please help (and get something awesome in the process)!! (^o^)/***

I definitely, definitely could not have done this without the help and encouragement and support of everyone on here. I kinda feel like I want to cry.... *holds it in*. As celebration, it's time for dinner and a short nap! (^o^)/

I have a question that I want to ask everyone:

I know that a lot of people think of fansubs/scanlations, etc as piracy. As someone involved in the manga world and as an artist myself, I can't condone them officially. The best that I can do is, if I really love a manga or something that will never be available in english, I would consider it okay to post a text translation along with links to purchase the books (not saying what you shuld do, just what I would do!).

But, there are books that I really, really love in Japanese, that don't and probably never will have english translations. How do you guys feel about someone (me) posting translations of the books in english. Obviously I'd post a link to buy the book and encourage it. But unlike manga, the text is the entire book in most cases (picturebooks and illustrated books would be different of course!). But they're books that I would really like everyone to be able to read in english. So... is that piracy? The thing is, even if people buy the book (and I hope they do!), it would still be all in japanese, and if they can't read it, then it would be mostly useless.. So, posting just a chapter or so translated would also be pretty useless, right?

Thoughts? I'm just wondering, because I've posted this kind of thing in the past in other blogs, and I am considering posting them either here or on my new blog sometime in the future. But I want to see how people react first *^-^*

A few days ago, my internet went out! Awful timing, since I had to leave in the morning to see Tokyo Girls Collection up in Saitama! (for work) I live REALLY far from the arena (about 2 hours by train), so I stayed over at a friend's house who lives much closer. It was my first time staying with her (usually the other way around! LOL, or it used to be!), and the first time I've stayed over at a friend's in ages! Fun!! I think my immune system may have finally taken a hit, though, because my throat is hurting a little bit today. It makes sense, since there were 30,000 girls at that event! Surely at least one of them had a cold! O.O!

So...... anyways, I just wanted to update everyone. I picked the winner of the drawing and notified him/her! =^-^= Thank you so much to everyone that donated, whether a lot or a little! I'm still a ways away from what I need, so I'm considering what I can do... a lot of people mentioned commissions, and I thought that I'd never do them... but I think I will have to.... So, I'll take some time during this week to get that ready, I guess!! Unless I find a safe and legal way to sell my body, lol. =3 (j/k)

Lately, I've been trying to get my dreams into motion, including-but-not-limited-to:

* 4-page short manga. It's just for fun/practice. The story is just a short episode from working with Konomi-sensei. I'll post it online when I'm done. ^^
* Real manga for Ribon
* How-to-be-a-mangaka posts
* Website/blog! It may be small at first, but it's going to be really cool in the end, I think!!
* Japanese study (This takes up a lot of time!)

I was also in a commercial shoot recently.. more about that later on, as soon as it comes out! I'm not sure if it's going to be on tv or just on the internet or what. We'll see. It seems to be in processing right now. Well, I just did it to help out a friend, so it wasn't paid or anything, but it was definitely a learning experience! I'll talk about that all after it's out! (I'm not allowed to now)

I kinda want to make a Zombies-in-Tokyo mini movie or something..... anyone game? Just offhand, I'm thinking little commercial-like videos to put on Youtube, or something like that.. Whatcha think? Anyone want to work on this? (Actors/scriptwriters/cameramen/etc?) Let me know! Maybe a vampire story too......? Of course, this is all just an idea at this point..

So, starting after this week, I'm going to be launching my new blog/website and see where it goes!!
